You know there will be some idiots that go old-school and revert back to paper notes.

Nothing will stop the cheating, they will blow up their phones right before their shift, on breaks then when they leave. That will probably be the easiest way to spot them, look for the ones who run to their cars on every break.

The good news for the subordinate cheaters is that IA will have less of a right to ask for the phones since the phones aren't allowed into secured parts of the jail any more and non-ranking staff can only access them on their breaks.

The only other thing I can see happening will be members leaving their posts more frequently to communicate with the person they are fooling around with. They will need to hire a wal-mart security guard to watch all the cameras to make sure no one is veering off their shift routines.

They haven't started the cavity searches yet so I'm good (who says you can't learn something from the inmates?).

The ban initially applied to lawyers too but they went to a judge who called Bob who ordered that they be allowed to bring phones in the jail. Allegedly because the phones help them work on their cases.

Can't wait to see what Bob does when the first incident of some lawyer letting his inmate client use his phone is documented. Probably will get a free pass because it has to do with the case. At least that will be the excuse. Miss Piggy has been letting inmate clients use her phone for a long time. I bet she is the one who complained to the judge because she is an inmate lover who hates cops.
