Getting to the nitty gritty on this, the legislature and Governor don't want to give State Employee's anything further than the absolute minimum because they believe State Workers already have it made with their benefits and pension plans. The more more they give now equals more very long term payouts for pensions later, so they just don't want to give anything.

Current FRS Pensions are already a huge drain on the State and they don't feel they should give more.

PBA is horrible and just the fact that they support Sheriff Tony down in Broward is enough for me to not want to be part of it.
We are better than that.
