I agree that’s why next week I’m going to give everyone in my office a great big hug.

I fear you may be mocking me. I like the hug idea but how about doing something everyone would appreciate without violating their personal space? Bring biscuits for everyone. It could be your Monday morning thing. People will remember your gesture and kindness. I like the idea of having an ice cream social too. We had senior management do that and everyone loved it. It gave people a chance to mingle and talk in a low stress environment. There are many little things you can do to make your world/office a better place. It all begins with you.
