I received a letter from the Scott County Sheriff yesterday. It was a reminder of when my permit would expire and it explained the renewal process. Has anyone else ever received a notification letter before?

My hat is off to Sheriff Johnson. His predecessor would have never had the nuts to publicly tell a suspect that his choice was either prison or the cemetery.

Agreed. Johnson is definitely surprising me and proving me wrong. His predecessor would not be working a Friday evening sbift either. Whether it takes a report from patrol is a different story.
