Either way unless you worked there, I'm speaking for one of the bureaus, you are way off base. That "mad dog" you refer to is probably more like a puppy on the outside of the yard that is better off staying there as he is way in over his head. Someone referred to it, biggest problem is they let a certain someone reinvent the wheel who fits my comment perfectly. It's just truly a shame that tradition and proven results are overlooked to fit the modern day policing model.
Not to disrespect your personal experience, BUT you sound like Hilary Clinton's sour grapes crew and the bias media.

There is NO leadership at HB. NONE. The Captain is LOST AMD WAY IN OVER HIS HEAD never worked investigations ANYWHERE! The major is even WORSE. CHASING TAIL AT SVB AND ALL OVER. The chief is amian and the same messes follow him everywhere he go. These people are seriously lost and we can't blame the director either, cj was put there by Patterson against the wishes of the SAO! Wait for it.... even the civilians will be leaving soon. May Day!

It didn't help that the hapless Major By-pass was assigned here. Everyone knows the baggage he carries.

Years ago in Narcs a new guy had to be vetted in TNT before they could move to investigations. It was great way to see their ability and ethics. No way the donkey P.O.S. would have got through or the guy who was on duty at home we were away too busy.

Homicide is now a two tiered system created by new brass morale bad seasoned people leaving.

    Leadership matters!
