Gimenez wins! Only a matter of time before Organvidez and Ubieta are back
Now that the mayoral race is over, at last we can start getting ready for the removal of our useful idiot director so we can make way for new Director Hernan Organvidez and AD Raul Ubieta. Say what you will about the two but they are ten times more qualified than the current director and their old style law enforcement policies will bring this department out of the bottom of the barrel where it finds itself now. No longer does our mayor have to appease the black vote, now he will bring in a team of hard nosed cops who know when and how to do it. Get ready JP, your train is leaving the station.

The addition of Ubieta as an AD would be great, but I doubt that's true. Organvidez as director, now that's a little mor believable. He made that commercial.

While I don't believe in any of these possibilities, bringing them back would be a HUGE step in putting this idled department back together again. I would gain respect for the mayor if this happened. I've never seen the morale as low as it is today. I literally hate coming to work.

If Hernan and Raul were calling the shots it would be old school police work again with units like RID and TNT making a difference. This would be a better scenario than we have now with a timid director scared of his own shadow because deep inside he knows he is incaple of leading or running this department.

I am not sure where to start,
A) not even Elliot Ness couldn't bring our Department back to "old School" policing, those days are past, No matter who is at the top your going to be disappointed , some are going to disappoint you more than others. You cant do anything "old school" with BWC and all of the other limits.
B) The Mayor is completely happy with the way the Department is being run, he has zero reason to make any changes.
C) You cant have RID, TNT or any other special unit back because there is simply not enough people on the road.
D) The mayor has no intention of making our Department great again, instead the plan is to continue to incorporate the county and continue to shed officer positions until we are only doing the basic Sheriff services required by law.
E) The Mayor has decided that the way to reduce crime does not solely rest with Police, in response to a question from a reporter on election night he said " its not more police officers we need, look at Chicago, they have twice as many more police than we have and have higher crime" While this comment by him was so misleading its not funny, it tells you where his head is on the issue and beefing up police is not it.
F) The last three directors under the Mayor have all reached the same conclusion, its nothing they can do, just go with the flow and get to a nice retirement, the sooner the troops follow the lead the better it will be. If you do any police work that resembles "old school" you risk ruining your career. (see example of the latest Kendall cops)
Do you think Hernan or Raul want to be part of this?
