Question.

Are you legally required to make an arrest for crimes other than traffic infrations? (ex: cocaine, meth, trespassing, etc)

Or does discretion carry over into those crimes as well?

Drugs..the state of florida is the victim..trespassing,we don't have discretion as its up to the victim if they want to prosecute

I always figured it was the officers discretion with an exception for domestic violence.
