All those free turkeys,all the free groceries,all the free ice cream,all the marching and all the free giveaways and coddling in the black community didn't work. Sheriff thought he could buy the African American vote and the African American is stupid backfired on him.
When you analyze the Supervisor of Elections results you will find thet the Sheriff lost every African American voting site in the North end of the county. That is a clear message if I've ever seen one. The Sheriff won the general vote but it just goes to show that in the African American community you are not as loved as the idiots around you made you think. The majority of the Clergy early on didn't like the Sheriff. The Hatian Pastor who has a BSO assigned vehicle likes you when he shows up to scenes around the county.
