I think the tough talking name caller missed the point of people were told in the afternoon the day prior. Before you troll you should probably take the time to read the entire thing

I think most people are missing a simple fact. an ambiguous, limited in information email came out shortly before the event on many people's days off. the email said further information was to come and that information was never sent out an email. while some people were notified directly the majority of were not. if it wasn't for the blind dedication of Patrol and some supervisors and the fact that we all knew notifications were probably not going to come out efficiently and timely.... we all did the positive thing and showed up or contacted somebody on our own and through word-of-mouth found out when we were supposed to be there. Sure some were notified but many many more were not and if it weren't for the rumor mill and then dedicated employees this would have been a failed event. What the agency needs to do is recognize their shortcomings ... capts... and very much appreciate the fact that through the dedication of all its lower ranked members we showed up to ensure the event was a success because we have pride in the job the community and ourselves. Despite everything, we made it happen. Kudos to us.

Just watched a News Report that mentioned that we will be having another VIP visit here shortly.

Expect an email the night before for your draft assignment.
