I am waiting until negotiations on September 1st. BSO has to be adding to the offer if they requested another meeting a week later, right?? I'm hoping he adds a 10th step or a 15 year longevity into the 3rd year to sweeten the deal.

This is an option that should be suggested Thursday. Or add the extra 1% onto the first responder that someone else recommended.

If BSO is fighting over a .25% in year 3, then where do you suppose they pull 6 million from to fund the 10th step. The union also shot down the first responder for the 10th step because BSO wanted to take it away from the 275 people that are not topped out. We finally have a union fighting for ALL.

Perhaps we can ask for the first responder to be increased 1% and take the 2% for year 3.

Either way we are paying for healthcare in year 3 no matter what we get...it's the sign of the times....I think that's what has everyone upset. Any increase in year 3 will be offset by the increase in healthcare

So far we are at 2/2/min 1.75%, fuel fee elimination, 12 hour holiday and bonus sick days, and 6 month bidding. The Sheriff needs to raise the 3rd year or lower the insurance fee to from 50/100/150 to 0/50/100.
