MDPD Officers Under Fire, Department more concerned with Push-up challange

Yup. Officers under fire & instead of posting a request for info, our department posts on Twitter about Miami Gardens accepting a stupid push-up challange!

we all had hopes that by now the new director would have restored or at least started the process of making us proactive again, reversing the dismantling of RID, TNT Cargo Theft, HQ auto theft, and others.

But I think we can all see the direction of the department, No more Crime prevention units, more COPS in offenders homes watching them, CPU becomes NRU, CST have been or are being reined in and told to be less proactive, zero anti narcotics street work, no Cargo theft investigations, but call us with a running man, push up or community parade and we are out in force.

calls hold for ridiculous times, citizen contact us with tips on organized truck thefts, grow houses and street dealers only to be forwarded to no where.

All the great work in the past to take the streets back from the "john doe" Jamaican posses, Colombians and other gangs and thugs are all erased.

PS anyone notice the amount of Robbery bolos and flyers Hmmm

Well his first promotion was stephanie daniels to AD. When she was here in Robbery told RID we should be more concerned with why the perps were doing the robbery than catching them and arresting them

I hear you brother but tell me, did anybody think this clown of a director would have been any better than the previous side of beef? Matter of fact, will the next one be any better than this one? As long as the strong mayor format holds, our department will be held hostage to the will of our current or future mayor. In fact, the downward spiral will continue and as our moral core dissolves the federal indictments will take us back to the days of the River Cops or something similar to New Orleans P.D. Today's MDPD is a simple tool for our mayor. Those in supervisory positions arrive there to do the bidding for the mayor. The more loyal they are to the mayor the faster they will move up the chain. The mayor uses them for his purpose and they in turn increase their pay and rank and pad their retirements. What suffers is the mission of the department and our citizens. Deprived of a true police department and settled by a private se unity guard army of slaves to the mayor.
