After 10 hours of sweating in the hot sun, getting soaked and having to wear those wet clothes all day, or out in the freezing cold of winter that's not a big perk. But I have never had a problem with anyone working up there in personnel, finance etc and they have always been eager to help as well as very friendly. So instead of calling, go see them and take them a thank you card at least!
They were talking about the HR employees slick. They are on 10's too.

And you act like you're the only possible person who may be calling, no one else might also be calling in a question. Come on man, what crying-ass ***** comes onto a public forum to ***** about civilian's not answering their phone.....pathetic!

What a worthless bunch of Jina lickers. Requiring a civilian to Answer a phone around this agency is about like asking the Sheriff to give a raise. Not happening!

They can't retain sworn and wonder why. Check the pay for some of the civilians mentioned on this thread, these positions don't even require a degree. Admin changed that when they wanted to hire someone special. That's a nice salary to figure out how to improve our morale and plan parties a big part of the day. To improve our morale, show us the money. That's an easy fix.

Improving moral is far from their goal. The heads just want things to appear happy. They do that by issuing many of these shitty policies, which essentially say that if you do anything that they don't like you are fired. Piss in the right urinal? You're fired! Walk up the stairs and go down the elevator? You're fired! Like another sheriff's candidate? You're fired! Make a complaint? You're fired! Want a raise? We'll hire a straight out of the academy rookie; you're fired! It's starting to sound like a repeating episode of The Apprentice; "You're fired!"

Here's a way to improve morale. As was mention above, show us the money. I don't need a new Tahoe. Rookies don't need a Tahoe period. Use that money to fund our pockets a bit more. Hell, those 2016 Tahoes sat in the lot for a year before they started rolling out. WTF! Come on!

Allow us to arrest people more. Stop limiting the ways we can arrest. And, for you trolls who say that we can make all of the arrests we want are blind or part of the problem.

Stop brining us up on bullshit charges or violations. Did we jump right over the vebal or written warnings and run straight to an IA investigation? Please, Aug 30th bring about a change and boot some of these folks out who keep booting us out.

I second that and add on stop all these shift level investigations which are really IA's. Wtf does IA do now? Assist patrol Lt's on their investigations? Well they aren't even doing a good job at that.

It sad when ia isn't even investigating us deputy's like you said. Shift level lt's or 1st lt's are doing them. That is even more crazy. I can understan the ia guys doing a thorough job since they probably don't know 3/4th of the deputies but the shift level supervisors know and have worked with us. Either they hate most of us or they just care only about themselves. If you know your guys then you know what they would have done.

Don't be fooled. Many of these deputies that have been fired or forced to leave did do something wrong but most of those same deputies could have received a written warning or a suspension but thats not good no more.

We can rest better at night knowing that HR is in a round table discussion everyday brain storming how to help us feel better about being the lowest paid officers in the state. They have been going to conferences all over the USA to learn how to boost us up and plan a weenie roast on our day off.
