    IUPA endorses ??

I must say thoroughly disappointed that IUPA is endorsing Israel for Sheriff. Im done will be canceling my membership this week.

This Sheriff has and continues to dismantle the sheriffs office as we know it by not allowing us to do our jobs anymore he wants to take no risks to speak of because of the local political climate of political correctness, fact that it's reelection year.

Civil citations for juveniles a joke
Now civil citations for adults and even bigger joke
We're told to stand down and not do our jobs when ATVs run amok in the streets of Broward County putting our citizens at risk during MLK celebrations just one of many such instances.( this one was because he didn't want to upset the black community)
Gives deputy's awards supporting them then retracts statements by simply saying nothing positive at all. Says nothing about the SAO who's looking to charge any law-enforcement officer in Broward if given a chance.
Has rewritten policy in such a way that if you do anything you'll be jammed up 100% administratively.
Has destroyed morale within the agency.
No raises because cannot broker deal with County commission an even bigger joke, sheriff continues to blame everyone else for everything.

Sheriff stands for nothing and will fall for anything he will succumb to the political powers & political pressures/ correctness he will not rock the boat he will not support anyone but himself and his cronies.

Israel is not a true Florida sheriff in any sense of the word. Sheriff Israel advocates for gun registries, banning assault weapons and repealing stand your ground he should be voted out this year.

Sadly though we all know that will not happen he's entrenched with a lot of the political criminals in Borward County.

So how exactly did IUPA endorse the Sheriff when the surveys have not even gone out yet?

If you noticed, it only said "recommendations" not endorsements from the exec board. It also said that the popular vote gets it.

Two thumbs up for the union on allowing the membership to have a vote on endorsements. Amazing that it took over 20 years and the removal of the PBA to have this happen

Maybe we should have waited until we see the contract offer before we decide who to endorse.....kind of makes a little sense right???
