    Lightbulb Food for thought

Some people have brought up the fact that they won't vote for the Republican nominee (Trump) because it is not the man they wanted. I just want to put something in perspective. Please read this all the way through and send it to every “doubting Thomas” that you think will not vote… Please!

    Justice Scalia's seat is vacant.
    Ginsberg is 82 years old
    Kennedy is 79
    Breyer is 77
    Thomas is 67.
Nowadays, the data shows that the average age of a Supreme Court retirement or death occurs after 75.

These are 5 vacancies that will likely come up over the next 4-8 years. The next President will have the power to potentially create a 7-2 Supreme Court skewed in their ideology.

    Think about that... 7-2.

If the next President appoints 5 young justices, it will guarantee control of the Supreme Court for an entire generation. And 7-2 decisions will hold up much more over time than 5-4 decisions which are viewed as lacking in mandate.

Hillary has made it clear she will use the Supreme Court to go after the 2nd Amendment. She has literally said that the Supreme Court was wrong in its Heller decision stating that the Court should overturn and remove the individual right to keep and bear arms. Period.

Anyone and Everyone who is saying that they won't vote for one candidate or the other if they are the GOP nominee, please realize this. Hear this! If Hillary Clinton wins and gets to make these appointments, you likely will never see another conservative victory at the Supreme Court level for the rest of your life. Ever.
Whoever is the GOP nominee ... go VOTE for the GOP Nominee!
Remember Romney? Three million conservatives who had voted for McCain did not cast a vote for Romney (for whatever reason) .... and the result was four additional years of B.H.O.

AND ONE FINAL THOUGHT , she's already on the record as saying that her buddy, B.H.O. "would make a great Supreme Court Justice."

    2. The Seante either Confirms or Denies, said justice from appointment, Not the President.

    3. There has been No other U.S. President, that has done more for first responders, than .... Yes Barack Obama. I too was
Educated on this topic, by a good friend of mine, that's in the military.

    4. Vote your conscience but, you should educate yourself before espousing erroneous and bogus statements, I don't believe

Yeap; you must be one of those officers that "Acted Stupidly" (If you are in fact an officer)
After all; If I had a son, it may have looked like Trayvon Martin.

If you want the Supreme Court of the United States to swing totally left/ Progressive/Socialist, then vote for a career criminal by the name of Hillary Clinton. I don't like Trump and often wondered how such a narcissist ego maniac could have achieved all this wealth, but then I look at BHO and begin to understand.
BTW statistically there are more registered Democrats than Republicans; if you stay home and don't vote, you just voted for Hillary.

Obama eases benefits process for vets with PTSD
    By David Jackson, USA TODAY
    Updated 2010-07-11 4:08 PM

President Obama said Saturday that veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder will now have easier access to benefits.

Previously, veterans "have been required to produce evidence proving that a specific event caused their PTSD," Obama said during his Saturday radio address. "And that practice has kept the vast majority of those with PTSD who served in non-combat roles, but who still waged war, from getting the care they need."

    CAPTIONBy J. Scott Applewhite, AP

The Department of Veterans Affairs will begin streamlining the benefits process next week, Obama said.

In the Republican radio address, Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Ga., discussed a new Web forum -- AmericaSpeakingOut.com -- in which people can suggest ways to reduce federal spending and improve government.

"Americans are fed up with how things are going in the country right now," Gingrey said. "They see more job losses, rising debt and plummeting home sales. They feel let down by a government that passes one 2,000-page, trillion-dollar law after another instead of focusing on addressing the problems Americans worry about every day."

    Here is Obama's address:

Last weekend, on the Fourth of July, Michelle and I welcomed some of our extraordinary military men and women and their families to the White House.

They were just like the thousands of active duty personnel and veterans I've met across this country and around the globe. Proud. Strong. Determined. Men and women with the courage to answer their country's call, and the character to serve the United States of America.

Because of that service; because of the honor and heroism of our troops around the world; our people are safer, our nation is more secure, and we are poised to end our combat mission in Iraq by the end of August, completing a drawdown of more than 90,000 troops since last January.

Still, we are a nation at war. For the better part of a decade, our men and women in uniform have endured tour after tour in distant and dangerous places. Many have risked their lives. Many have given their lives. And as a grateful nation, humbled by their service, we can never honor these American heroes or their families enough.

Just as we have a solemn responsibility to train and equip our troops before we send them into harm's way, we have a solemn responsibility to provide our veterans and wounded warriors with the care and benefits they've earned when they come home.

That is our sacred trust with all who serve -- and it doesn't end when their tour of duty does.

To keep that trust, we're building a 21st century VA, increasing its budget, and ensuring the steady stream of funding it needs to support medical care for our veterans.

To help our veterans and their families pursue a college education, we're funding and implementing the post-9/11 GI Bill.

To deliver better care in more places, we're expanding and increasing VA health care, building new wounded warrior facilities, and adapting care to better meet the needs of female veterans.

To stand with those who sacrifice, we've dedicated new support for wounded warriors and the caregivers who put their lives on hold for a loved one's long recovery.

And to do right by our vets, we're working to prevent and end veteran homelessness, because in the United States of America, no one who served in our uniform should sleep on our streets.

We also know that for many of today's troops and their families, the war doesn't end when they come home.

Too many suffer from the signature injuries of today's wars: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury. And too few receive the screening and treatment they need.

Now, in past wars, this wasn't something America always talked about. And as a result, our troops and their families often felt stigmatized or embarrassed when it came to seeking help.

Today, we've made it clear up and down the chain of command that folks should seek help if they need it. In fact, we've expanded mental health counseling and services for our vets.

But for years, many veterans with PTSD who have tried to seek benefits -- veterans of today's wars and earlier wars -- have often found themselves stymied. They've been required to produce evidence proving that a specific event caused their PTSD. And that practice has kept the vast majority of those with PTSD who served in non-combat roles, but who still waged war, from getting the care they need.

Well, I don't think our troops on the battlefield should have to take notes to keep for a claims application. And I've met enough veterans to know that you don't have to engage in a firefight to endure the trauma of war.

So we're changing the way things are done.

On Monday, the Department of Veterans Affairs, led by Secretary Eric Shinseki, will begin making it easier for a veteran with PTSD to get the benefits he or she needs.

This is a long-overdue step that will help veterans not just of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, but generations of their brave predecessors who proudly served and sacrificed in all our wars.

It's a step that proves America will always be here for our veterans, just as they've been there for us. We won't let them down. We take care of our own. And as long as I'm commander in chief, that's what we're going to keep doing. Thank you.

And here is the Republican radio address:

Hello, I'm Doctor Phil Gingrey, and I work for the people of Georgia's 11th Congressional District.

Americans are fed up with how things are going in the country right now. They see more job losses, rising debt, and plummeting home sales. They feel let down by a government that passes one 2,000-page, trillion-dollar law after another instead of focusing on addressing the problems Americans worry about every day.

Republicans are listening and offering better solutions that get Washington out of your way, out of your pocket, and back on your side.

Just look at jobs. President Obama and Democrats in Washington are still trying to convince Americans that their trillion-dollar 'stimulus' is working. But our economy has lost more than three million private sector jobs since February 2009. During that same time period, the federal government has actually grown by more than 400,000 jobs. More government, fewer jobs -- that's not recovery, those aren't results, they're just more of the same broken promises. Republicans are offering specific proposals to cut spending now. We can provide the fiscal discipline economists say is needed to create private-sector jobs and boost our economy.

Americans are calling for a return to common sense in how we solve problems -- and how the people communicate with their government. Because even though the world is becoming more connected through the web, mobile apps, and social media, our government is growing more out of touch, doing an awful lot more talking than listening.

That's why Republicans have launched America Speaking Out, a new project that is revolutionizing the way we govern by engaging the American people and seeking their ideas for making things better.

The hub of this unprecedented initiative is an innovative Web forum -- AmericaSpeakingOut.com -- that allows you to submit your ideas for a new agenda, regardless of what party you're affiliated with. Once you post an idea, it is then debated, discussed, and voted on. Republican lawmakers are also sharing their ideas and putting together new proposals based on your feedback.

We're also taking America Speaking Out to your communities by holding town hall meetings in rooms just like this to get a real, face-to-face dialogue going about what we need to do to turn things around. I hosted one such event earlier this week at a senior center in the town of Rome, Georgia, in my district. The conversation was spirited, the kind you've probably participated in yourself recently -- with people asking why we are spending so much and getting so little in return, with folks pleading for the President to stop doubling down on policies that are hurting instead of helping.

One father stood up and said 'my family has to budget, so why isn't Washington?' A small business owner said he's still struggling to figure out whether he'll be able to continue providing health insurance for his nine employees after the government takeover of health care. But what got everyone nodding was a World War Two veteran who stood up and said 'I don't believe my children and grandchildren will enjoy the same freedoms and the same prosperity that I have enjoyed.'

Americans are proud of this country, they want to see things get better, and they want to be part of that turnaround. That's what America Speaking Out is all about.

So I hope you will take this opportunity to visit AmericaSpeakingOut.com and contact your representative to find out about upcoming America Speaking Out town halls in your area.

Vote your conscious, I'm not suggesting you Vote Republican or Democrat .... but educate yourself, with whom is doing what.

One day, you may be in need of a law or directive, that was passed by someone, you never thought, would be an ally.

    Stay Safe !

    Really ? ? ? ? ? Typical Progressive response. . . . . .If you disagree with BHO you must be a racist . . .BS
I am surprised that you didn't call me a misogynist because I spoke against Hillary.

Please do not attempt to teach me Civics; I am totally aware of how things are "supposed" to work under the Constitution.
You are the one who needs to take a class in current US politics and what the current political realities are.
The constitution is being circumvented and some times circumstanced by this President and it will only get worst if WE don't speak out in the protection of this document.
BTW; I too am a minority, but it sickens me to see the destruction of what once was a great nation.
