How can he not?
These two pieces of excrement are tied at the hip. Of course Patterson endorses Gimenez. Patterson obstructed the absentee ballot investigation that saved Gimenez from going to prison. Both he, Perez, Noel Pratt and Andrew Glass were involved in the scheme. Look at how much they have "advanced"
In the department since that time. Not surprised he has landed a cushy job at the mayor's office already.alA total embarrassment.

Doubtless JD and Gimenez waited out the FRS required 366 days before hiring 'slipping and sliding' JD. Still, this is political patronage at its most crass. Gimenez, in comparison, makes New York City corrupt Tammany Hall influence peddlers look like pikers!
Any interest at the Miami Herald, one wonders!

A desperate Gimenez ploy to get black votes. As 'a man of the cloth,' one must wonder whether JD remembers this passage:
'For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.' 2 Corinthians 11:13-15
Secularly speaking, one must also wonder whether JD Patterson, an ordained pastor, will violate the below cited U.S. tax code when he encourages his 'flock' to vote for Gimenez.
Organizations recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. tax code are subject to limits or absolute prohibitions on engaging in political activities and risk loss of tax exempt status if violated. Specifically, they are prohibited from conducting political campaign activities to intervene in elections to public office.
Still no interest from our local 'fourth estate?'

What can we expect from a spineless self serving "pastor" more akin to a snake oil salesman than a spiritual man? People like Patterson have been sponging off of the African community for generations. Every government contract that comes into the area is squeezed by a few cats and the community gets zilch.
Patterson tore up every decent unit in our department just to please his master Gimenez. He is an embarrassment to every decent officer who has ever worked at MDPD.

Saw Gimenez' political television ad featuring JD Patterson; claiming Miami Dade is safer today, because of Gimenez DECIMATION of MDPD; how sad! Immediately the words from Mark 8:36 came to mind. "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Really J D, are Miami Dade police officers and the citizens they serve and protect safer?
