Guys stop having sex with underage girls that want to be police officers

Tampa police officer Brian Morales, 36, received a six-year sentence today for having sex with an underaged girl, according to Tampa Bay Times.

In today’s sentencing, Tampa Bay Times reported that Hillsborough Circuit Judge Christopher Sabella called him “a disgrace to law enforcement and an embarrassment to the Tampa Police Department.”

Their relationship was said to have started from her interest in becoming a police officer. The 17-year-old girl and Morales met at a sports concession stand during the time he worked at Blake High School.

In her Friday testimony, Tampa Bay Times went on to report that the relationship went from talks of career development to sexual in nature. During the time of their relationship, Morales was both married and a father.

“We talked about what would happen if we had sex,” before she turned 18, the girl testified. “How it would ruin both of our lives.”

However, according to the Tampa Tribune, police reported that the two had sex at least eight times at his home, her home and in Morales’ personal car. The result of those encounters left her with a sexually transmitted disease from the officer, according to Tampa Bay Times.

After she revealed the secret to her mother, the school softball coach and principal were notified. The latter two then notified the police. In 2013, the Tampa Bay Times reports, when the sexual encounters were happening, army veteran Morales was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.

ABC Action News reported that Morales was Baker Acted after threatening to harm himself if the situation was made public. He was charged with eight felony counts for having sex with a minor and plead guilty.

Maybe we should start naming some city of miami officers here who apparently have forgotten and violated their oath of office. You know who you are.

I hope IA gets your ISP after making strong allegations against another officer. I hope they open a case like it's been done in the past from false statements. Those are serious statements. Remember an IA can be open from writings.
