Everybody know who was on the scene. Even you. You act like this is new news. This has been going on since Llanes took over as chief.

IF . . . there is probable cause to support a 'quid pro quo' between LLanes and others MPD command officers for free; costly tickets to coveted events from the mentioned scalper or others; so the scalpers and others might operate unimpeded at these events, such may be grounds to charge under 838.016 Unlawful compensation or reward for official behavior. Is there probable cause or just malicious innuendos? Mayor Regalado, city manager Alonso, to clear LLanes, you must ask FDLE to investigate. More importantly, LLanes must ask for such investigation himself. Citizens of Miami must know their police chief is not crook!

Maybe DeFede publicly shaming the mayor and city manager is what it will take for them to ask FDLE to start an investigation. These allegations are a lot worse than Timoney's free car fiasco. These accusations infer the Miami Police Chief allows a ticket scalper to blatantly violate Florida law, FSS 817.36 – Resale of tickets, in return for coveted, costly entrance tickets. Such quid pro quo is a violation of FSS 838.016 – Unlawful compensation or reward for official behavior, a felony of the second degree. If for no other reason than to clear LLanes’ name, FDLE must investigate, the seriousness of the charge demands it.
