    Troop E

Troop E is under construction and will be for a long time.
Administratively they should have left WB or MM as a Commander and not bring in CP, clearly this was based on friendship.* The vote of confidence is poor.
The Troop retention is changing monthly* because of better pay in other agencies.* The senior Troopers are mostly gone in the next* couple of month because of retirement.* We only have one Captain and he is over specialty.* MW will be promoted to Capt. And who will follow,* you need to ask CP which probably be a poor choice another spot filled by who you know.
Two good Lt's. transfered in, EC by association from the top.* OJ is being investigated* and leaves you with the impression he won't be fired.* ML is the administrator of the building.* TC, will not* make waves. SJ should be demoted to a clerk.* 2 Senior Sgts. and 10 with less than 5 years.* The motor sgt. ER does his job, but his squad doesn't meet the mission. The CIU Sgt. position was given to RL WITH NO supervisor experience and the program is broken.* New guys coming in, the show goes on.* THI Sgt. TB is retiring and position given to IS from troop L, his opportunity to follow DP back to troop E, another friendship move.
The magical Keys is undermined by Tally and is unfixable with the tools they have.* The Troop receives a C- for overall* performance. The major can't be trusted and his past unethical practice looms the building, read the Miami Herald article dated March 3, 2001.* This is the guy that will get the Chief spot because of his connection at the Kirkman Building.

I would not go to the bank on CD being the next chief. The building has not done a very good job of diversity in the top ranks. This has not been intentionally done. The right people have simply not been there. When the chief position opens up the two majors to look for are in Orlando. JL should be the next chief. JF is also more than qualified. If either one are appointed there should be no issues. Appoint CD and it could be the only mistake out boss has made. It could also open the floodgates to complaints of the buddy system making an ugly comback.

JL is truly the better overall and qualified to put the pieces together.

JF along with CB has done nothing in mickey's land. What a joke and an unmitigated disaster. Someone should have really looked at what what's been going on there before they promoted them. Talk about BS walking, stinks so bad you have to hold your nose.

They will never give Chief to little Joey, the good ole boys in Tallahassee are not ready for another minority in upper ranks. It is sad, because he has done a lot for FHP and well respected.

What's wrong with having "good ole boys" in Tallahassee?

Would you rather have KH and DB back?

Wow. The above is the definition of a non-sequitur. The conclusion (that Hildreth and Brierton are the only alternatives to the "good ole boys") is absolutely false. One has nothing to do with the other.

Life is good in Troop E these days,, especially after ST got booted. Hasn't been this good since the Gracey era. Say what you want about CD and JP at least they know what they are doing and are competent.
