They are SOO paranoid about the inmates, yet they work the deputes/corporals to deah on OT, They didn't care about staffing until it affetcted their budget. By the time the ones in training get cut loose - They're gonna need50 more.
And BTW the one who slapped an inmate on video - Did you ever work with or for her? Who knows maybe forced OT and being treated as just a deputy every day after being appointed to rank - she finally snapped. I worked with her, she may have talked incessantly, but was a worker and backed you up. I wish we had more supervisors that you actually saw during the shift, not hiding in the office or wherever. That might help with some morale issues.

The culture in the jail has been poor for some time. There is no oversight from above, so when you have weak leaders in place, as we do now, the problems are perpetual. The supposed matrix system in place, does not guarantee the best possible candidate, again as we have now. Yes, once the 24 are cut loose, how many more will we have lost?
It's a sad state of affairs with Pasco, and when you finally come to terms with these facts, leaving is sometimes your best option. The Dinosaurs(5 year+Sergeants)don't care, they are earning more then any one would pay them elsewhere.
It's a shit sandwich and we all have to take a bite at Pasco.

Privatize privatize privatize, three hundred or so off the Sheriff's budget. Then they can complain in the un-employment line.
