    Question Pasco Jail Closes

The last 2 years, we have been loosing deputies in the jail. We are now down one entire shift and the inmates know it.
I think his name is Harrington (he's been seen, once or twice) along with Nocco, could give a crap! Question, what are you doing with all that money, that's not being paid to those deputies? Your loosing more deputies, because being forced to work so much overtime and threatened constantly, to sign up the second you walk in the door is doing wonders for moral and keeping what few are left to look elsewhere! Inmates are getting more violent and you think by giving a tazer, makes the numbers even, guess again! Oh, and while we are so short, let's cut all the electric to housing units and update
them! That went well, when Bravo inmates decided not go to their cells, didn't it! The place is a time bomb and command staff could care less! You saw this happening and did nothing, now you run an academy, that might get us 10-15 people in 4-6 months! I hear the street deputies are short just as bad! A sheriff needs his deputies support and election is coming, why support someone who could care less! We fight none!

Theyre doing their best to ignore it, hoping nothing will happen to personnel, all the while trying to come up with someone to blame if it does.

Doubt most of them would last a shift.

    And that really intimidates them.

    Stay strong.

    Fact

If there is no person on the payroll filling the job number they don't get the $ BUT it is sort of a win. In the big pot of annual money they will show under budget and be able to tap into it toward the end of the year (July through September) probably a big smoke and mirrors L.E. overtime or over hire for election time.

All they do is plan to make themselves look good and will do anything to keep from looking bad. Thats whats behind the missing emails in the Taser contract and the alleged changes to the resignations to state they left due to money. Self preservation and Pasco will do anything including ignoring the obvious wrongs, overlooking and breaking the law.

Angry Entire shift gone, working on second!

So 6 deputies resigned in a week, 2 being supervisors from the jail! Everyone's over the threats that begin the second
you walk in the door, about sign up for overtime or be forced! Deputies are burned out and tired of being harassed and having less rights, then the inmates! What is wrong with this place, almost 50 officers gone and still you see no brass giving a crap! The inmates know and something really bad will have to happen before anyone takes notice, including Nocco. Where is the press when you need it? The road deputies aren't doing any better!

So you haven't figured it out? If you run it into the ground by the lack of providing leadership and funding you can later bring in a private company to run the place and use the excuse that we could not get enough employees to do the job.

Looks like the plan is working well.

They should privatize it and save money, and please don't use the failings at Hernando jail as reason not to. It would have minimal negative impact and save money in the long run. Besides it's only few hundred staff that would be laid off. I'm sure Walmart or Publix would love to hire those that don't wish to work for CCA. I don't believe those company's have a physical standard either.

More appropriately....he does not care about the staff. The inmates however, are business for his vendor friends. He put two female's in charge(The Major & Operations Captain) whom have no concept of leadership, nor the competency levels to run the jail. The vast majority of Sergeants there are equally as worthless. Hopefully the PAT can trim some of the fat.
