For all of us who were stupid enough to elect two ex-tpd politicians as our pba reps you can now see what the payoff is. The chief gave him a sgt promotion. He just jumped right over the cpl spot, and all of a sudden a degree is no longer needed because he has none. And not only that, he gets his buddy from tpd the Lt spot. And if you don't believe this then you still believe in Santa Claus. And this tpd major has so much respect for us and our department that he stops by while on duty and in full major uniform to take a tour. How does this new person only spend one year as a Lt at tpd, then one year as a captain and not even a full year as a major at tpd qualify him. And why leave that spot all of a sudden. It's time to vote for someone who won't sell us out like always. How is this new sgt so qualified when all he did at tpd was go to Tallahassee for pba business and spend money until tpd troops wised up and got rid of him. And he has no street supervison here. And it's just not the police officers and traffic specialists that are being looked over. The chief created two new civilian positions without posting them so other people might have a chance. But no money for pay increases. One of them was so disliked in her department that they had to move her out there and give her a office in the back somewhere. Still not sure what she does but I would bet she is getting the same salary. And then the other person is our new criminal analysts with absolutely no experience. And like we need one. And this same person was so inept as the chief's secretary that he had to get rid of her. So let's create a new position for her as a reward. And then the chief hires someone from the outside to be his new secretary. Now let's talk about the chief's integrity. His new secretary also happens to live in the same condo complex where the chief owns a condo he rents out. And in fact, she is on the condo's board of that very same condo complex. Was this made known during the hiring process? Of course not. Conflict of interest? Absolutely! Check her Facebook page and check her friends list. Don't worry if they try to make that go away, it's all been recorded. You can also find all the public record information on the tax collectors and property appraiser's pages recording the properties. All public record. Check it out. But we are just a bunch of stupid minions who work hard everyday but are told that we haven't gone above and beyond. When is the board going to wake up and she what is going on there. Mr L and Mr T should open their eyes. Oh wait, all Mr L's people, according to a recent story on Chanel 10, his executive staff will get between a 7.5 and 10 percent raise each year.

All great points. But you forgot how much supervison us minions need. We now have a chief, a deputy chief, two captains, four lieutenants, seven sergeants and four corporals for a total of nineteen! Now we may, just may, have a total of 60-65 sworn including that 19. It's hard to keep track between those who are quitting and those who are getting hired. So for argument sake, let's say around 30% of the sworn officers are supervisors. Some very good, some worthless. So I will keep working on my degree. Wait I don't need a degree anymore. No wait, yes I do. I guess I will just go write some speeding tickets.

Malcontent alert. I choose to look at the 19 supervisory positions as opportunity and not something negative. And for the original post, you sound desperate and disconnected. The conflict of interest/condo conspiracy is utter nonsense. Get real pal; it might be time for you to just move on to another job.

Yea thanks for all the input from our newest sergeant and his little crony. The same one sitting in ciu doing nothing but collecting sergeant pay. And is the idiot serious about the 19 supervisor positions as an opportunity. You keep waiting and keep after the proverbial dangling carot. You just may make DC one of these days. Oh wait you might have to be in charge of the bike squad that a simpleton can pass. Maybe we can all be supervisors. We have a supervisor that have lied in IAs and on reports and is gutless. PBA is a complete joke here. But it will get you promoted if you can cover enough crap up.

What an idiot if you have a mind set that having, now 20 supervisors, is an opportunity. You really must be a loser if you're not one yet. And don't forget our Cracker Jack canine unit. After all you could shovel dog crap for twenty years and become a dc or one very shaky Lt who has no idea what the law is. And yea its opportunities for tpd and naples pd. Can't blame them though. Just disband and let the sheriff's office take over us. The airport gets no revenue from our citations or parking tickets anyway. Let them put it to good use.
