I remember when they eliminated the agents positions and made them ISII's. I also remember when the agents did the IS II job along with thier own job. Don't think for a second they can't change your job title to an agent. Don't forget an agent is a law enforcement position and they can do many things and have arresting powers. The ISII's are limited to what they can do and you are NOT a law enforcement officer.

Go to the law enforcement academy, hire on with a law enforcement agency and then promote to investigative status then come here and apply. If you want what we have, pay the price.

You guys over at ABT are not using your Investigators to the fullest extent. Investigator Specialists II, in the State of Florida, have a ton of lead way. Yes, they are not Sworn LEO, however, this is not a disadvantage. In our agency we have ISII's and they are fully used to the max. They do pretty much what our LEO's do, with the exception of arrest powers of course. It seems that ABT ISII's are mainly used as inspectors. I could be wrong. Anyone care to chime in.

Apparently, you don't know these IS II's.

Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. And I have also worked with ISII's from DFS, and Department of Health.

What exactly is the role of your IS II's? They are -- according to Florida DMS-- labeled, hired and paid as Investigators not Inspectors.

This agency frowns on using them for anything other than inspections to meet the imaginary goals of visiting a business. There is no incentive for them to learn anything other than what the IPad tells them

Fort myers hires there inspectors from the school for the blind. We seize more in one week then they do in a year.

You are 100% correct. Can't blame them.
