    Angry Perfect example

Yesterday was a perfect example as to why your department was formed.
A rather violent fight ensued at a high school in the South end of the county among black kids. The video clearly shows at least one kid kicking and stepping on another kids face while she was down.
NO ARREST WERE MADE !!! and had it not been for the video that some other kid took, this incident would have been unreported by the school and a distorted and an imaginary reflection of the school would prevail.
The fact that you responded and failed to take action on what was clearly an aggravated assault speaks volumes as to your real mission which is to hide and tamper with the real crime statistics in the Miami-Dade County School System.
The real reason you exist today is that the SROs of yesteryear's did not surrender to the politically motivated agendas of the principals and wrote the reports and made the arrests; however, you in the other hand, answer to them.
    What a farce!

Another point to consider regarding this thread is the perceived spin our department and school system seem to have attempted to place on this incident. Let's see, we sent our Christian police spokesperson (he so looks like Kevin Spacey with his forehead) out there to spread some fluff about it and then, in typical downplay and damage control mode, the school system issues a written vanilla statement about how they are trying to teach children about respect and acting properly....really? Is that the best we can do? Do you think these kids are learning your message? Are we really doing what we say we are doing...how?
Why is it that when an incident takes place out in the community, say for example, a shooting on a Saturday, away from our campuses, our little superintendent, who loves to grandstand and self-promote, has to tweet, facebook and hold press conferences, as if he knows anything about crime reduction, violence prevention and law enforcement? He is a science teacher, not a LEO. Here, we have an incident in our one of our schools, where our officers took action, and the know-it-all...say-it-all superintendent is nowhere to be found.
It just doesn't make sense or, perhaps it does.

    low stats

Well, it's rumored that several supervisors have ordered the unarrest of felons! And on top of that, white officers were told to unarrest because it might be perceived as racist! Hah! I tell you what, who ever gave those orders should be prosecuted for hindering resisting or opposing law enforcement. If that's true, IA should be notified immediately to weed out the scum that did that. But then again, it could just be rumors.

All the stars were out yesterday, at our shooting at Carol City Senior. It was a spectacle.
We had Superintendent Al Carvalho, our very own Chief, Commander MJ our Detectives stopped by for a change, and our K9s pissed on the crime scene although they didn't do any police work.

Another shooting near one of our schools and more press coverage, tweets and political posturing.
Same names and faces who, seemingly use this to appear in the media and claim they're fed up, but bring no solutions to the problem.
It just appears as if there's much talk, tweets and dog and pony showmanship, by many in leadership positions -- with little to no answers, action and knowhow to addressing this.
When will it end? What should be done?
Ideas, suggestions and recommendations are welcomed, please.

    Stern press release

It's my understanding that the superintendent put out a press release denouncing the violence and advised it will not be tolerated.

well last time i check a supervisors can't tell you to unarrest only the chief can. What you guys need to do is stand up and tell that supervisor to go fly a kite. If you have pc to arrest someone they can't tell you to unarrest. It's call having balls and telling the supervisor, go f@@@ yourself and ill get someone else to sign my a-form.

This is EXACTLY what I have been saying all along. Carvahlo can go fly a kite with his BS Twitter posts. Crying like a sobbing puss online for the world to see will not stop the violence. Offer some real solutions and start holding the kids and their snot-nosed parents accountable.

    Pinnochio

Carvalho was on front of the cameras again today in regards to the killing of a 6 year old.
He wants the shooters to turn themselves in.
He looked very convincing. Go Alberto, You Da Man!
