He loves that place and he lets us know how it used to be and how much better it can be so a lot of us are just waiting around until the election and then we will see what a new sheriff will do and see if he or she will make the necessary changes. So why go somewhere else when I know it can be better it just might take putting the right shelf in office who cares and who will make sure that the admin cares about their people and that will bring up morale. Even the supervisors have said negative things about this admin and how they do not really care about the people who work for them. That comes from supervisors that have been in the supervisor meeting and that is so uncool. How can you not listen to the supervisors but then stress, like you said, having an open door policy. What makes me think as a regular deputy who hasn't been there that long that I can go and talk to you when you won't even listen to the supervisors. Just like you see it it is an election year. It will be time for a change and hopefully the new sheriff will bring about the changes especially seeing everything else that has gone on.
Have you not seen the emails that come out asking people for suggestions, someone submits a suggestion, they review it and make changes, then send an email acknowledging the person that submitted the suggestion? That really shows that they don't care about us, doesn't it? Moron!! And no, not all suggestions are put in place but they explain why. They used to put emails out inviting us to go to the meetings so we could see what they talk about. Very few people went. It's much easier to sit around and complain based on what someone told you, rather than seek out your own information.

How do you propose that they bring up morale? How is your supervisor trying to bring up morale? How are you trying to bring up morale? You cannot expect 3 people to change the morale of the entire jail. Everyone is responsible for changing the morale!!

This doesn't even make sense....please let this be a joke and not the real writing of one of the actual employees.

Yes it is one of the people we work with everyday and we thought he was going to work at another jail. Guess they would not hire him. He took a email and made copies and passed it around, some people who have no sense did not read it right. Maybe the Sheriff should promote him to run the jail. God help us all.

Our supervisors are not really supervisors. I have heard mine make comments that were not right and I know if he talks about
others on the shift, he will talk about me. Do not blame all of us for the writings of a few employees who are not happy because
they do not get their way. The majority of us like our job and take pride in our jobs. These one or two who are posting always
complain. I think if we all just quit posting and let the idiots keep posting, it really shows what type of people we are working with.

    Happy

This whole website is full of garbage. People come on here, talk trash about their place of employment, the people who work there, the people whorun the place. It's on every forum. For once I would like to see people post about the positive, post about the good changes, give an office a shout out that did something good. Geez, stop with all the negativity.

Reading the posts, I will say that I have been under the old admin and currently under this admin. It seems as though most of the officers complaining are going by hearsay, what makes you think the dog that is bringing the bone is telling the truth. Anyone that talks about or low rates another person will do the same to you (misery loves company) and they are using you to stir things up because that is what cowards usually do. The admin that is in place now inherited a complete mess. (not hearsay but facts)! Under the old admin, you had supervisors getting supervisors pay but officers were doing their job and the supervisor job! While supervisors were out on three hour lunch breaks, because they were admin best buddy. Promotions then was based on the good old boy system and how big your boobs was! if you didn't hunt or play golf, you can forget about certain positions or promotions. Anytime Supervisors and Admin are watching porn together on the sheriff office computers, that's a discrepancy in itself. Promotions now are based on qualifications. The old admin didn't care about anyone but their friends, they didn't care that headcounts weren't being performed at night and the night shift was like a dating game and not to mention popcorn and a movie! The only officers that I can see being upset is the ones that don't like accountability! You can no longer neglect your responsibilities! You actually have to perform headcounts and close watches and the supervisors actually have to supervise, imagine that! This is the only admin that sends out emails recognizing when officers do good. If you feel that the morale of the jail is low its because your standards are low! The system is fairer than it has been in years. Anytime someone's comfort zone is disturbed, then there is bound to be complaining. This admin has implemented things such as video visitation, the first jail in the U.S. to be PREA certified amongst other things that should have been done a long time ago, but we were too far behind time because the last admin found other things interesting, like keeping their feet on officers neck to keep them down! The last admin system was the more you screw up the quicker you get promoted! But of course to understand you would of had to had been there, not go by hearsay! I'm certain whomever the sheriff is, he has enough wisdom to see and compare! because even he knows that when someone complains all the time, there is nothing you can do to satisfy them. (when you solve one problem, here they come with another) And yes I agree, there should not have been another officer there to listen to other officers complain about admin! It should have been one on one conversations with officers. Afterall, he didn't know that the person that was doing the escorting do more talking and backbiting in the jail than any officer I know, I just hope that isn't the officer that everyone say they trust! As far as the head sister! If you are doing what the sheriff hired you to do, then you shouldn't have to worry! My only question is, "What took so long to put the sisters in place?"

    Nothing

I've read every post and see not one bit of factual information from the anti-sisters posters. I'm very open minded and I don't see how you can intelligently justify your opinion. Everything stated is, "I heard this from someone" or "I took an email that only contained a few sentences and tried to interpret what it meant". Did you hear one of the sisters call on Saturday or is that just something you were told by someone else? Do you really think that they watch cameras from their houses? I'm certain all 3 of them have lives outside of this place. Now, if you think that this place is that bad, take the promotional exam, get promoted and make changes.

As far as the pro-sisters posters, they've relayed facts, we all get the emails asking for our input. We all see the changes. I'd put their brain power up against yours any day. PK and DG have worked in every area of this jail during there careers, these 3 are very educated when it comes to policies, fmjs, prea, fcac, fss.

For you MS, your wife knows exactly how fair the sisters are. You were a complainer at GEO and now here. No new tricks for you old dog.

For all you other complainers, you have a few choices....... you can go somewhere else (what we all wish you would do), you can do your own investigating and formulate your own opinion (which I doubt you will as that would take effort and then you'd have to admit that you were wrong about them) or you can continue to complain (the most likely option).

Opinions, opinions, opinions and not facts! It's certainly clear that if you're not part of the solution then you are part of the problem!
