Hey dumby, feel free to try and bring forth a vote of no confidence. This is not a city and that crap doesn't wash. But I tell you what you can do, try and vote him out with the rest of Pinellas County. They have this thing called an election. You go and vote. That way everybody gets a say, not just idiots like you. Then they can look at the corruption you speak of like the firing of cheating recruits, the firing detention deputies who beat prisoners in wheel chairs, the firing a deputy who lied after shooting a handcuffed prisoner, the list goes on and on. Wait a minute, he didn't hide corruption, he acted on problems. Geeee, what will the public think of a Sheriff who actually fixes problems? Let me know in November, word is there is no competition. Maybe you should run, show everyone what you are made of.

The firings you mention are not really corruption, it is political opportunism and favoritism. Gualtieri praised Bingham for using choke and head holds while he fired 3 other jail people for using similar techniques. He has a man-crush on patrol guys like Bingham while he hates detention staff. When was the last time Bingham was tested for PEDs?

Let's lump it all together: you don't deserve to be sheriff when you install your unqualified friends and political backers in high positions, you purge experienced command level staff to make room for your cronies, you allow the gaming of promotional exams so the favorites can score near perfect scores, you hand out harsher discipline unfairly to jail staff but coddle patrol, you give raises a year early to some but screw over the other half, you take care of the command staff first at the expense of the deputies, you promote your campaign sign thief back to Lt. before her probation is finished, you fail to fire a Sgt. who had sex on duty with another Sgt., you slap the wrist of a patrol Sgt who committed battery and lied about it, you promoted incompetent leadership at the jail making the place even more miserable to work in, you hire a chief who worked for G4S and was responsible for the agency's G4S contract, etc. etc.

Tony would not be a media whore and would let the PR people do their jobs for which they get paid for and have the required training and background. This would also prevent Gualtieri from making false statements to the public without waiting for the investigation to be completed, making himself look like a fool.

No wonder Gualtieri has to have so many chiefs, assistant chiefs, etc. because he is more worried about his political image than running the agency.

Thank you so much for that enlightened rant. we now know that all the seperate rants on this board are really from one disgruntled jailer. You need some therapy. Please use the great health insurance YOUR SHERIFF provides you and your family and get some psych help. Wait I know the health insurance sucks too. It's the Sheriff's fault. I think the Sheriff caused the Failure Factories in St.Pete and the poverty in Midtown too. You really should quit or get help your hate will cause you to implode cause YOUR SHERIFF not going nowhere. He wins this and probably 2 more elections before he is ready to retire. Watch.

Facts are facts and the voters have a right to know. And when you as sheriff screw over people, the voters will know.

Listen dildo, you and your loser friends lost their shot at redemption when RICE got his ass kicked by the new guy. Kicked so hard that he has not been heard from since and is enjoying retirement. You are four years too late to join the Sign Stealing Rice Team of fired, demoted, quit, lame, jilted, idiots who wanted the gravy train back. But I would suspect you are the idiot who hit the wheel chair bound inmate and LIED and got fired. Well sorry, your party was in 2012 and it got it's ass handed to it. Go get a job in the security or mega-store greeting business. You suck, we are better off without you.

Great come-back, your intelligence is showing. You should put in for a promotion. Gualtieri would love to have you aboard his gravy train with the rest of his worthless azzholes.

Ok, let's talk about Bingham. That could have gone a few ways depending on how you looked at it. The way I looked at is he put himself into a fight involving several drunks without backup, not smart. But none the less many of us have done that and most people stop fighting once the cops roll up. SO while he is dealing with one stupid drunk who was getting physical, he had drunk number two try and get physical. Bingham asked for trouble and got it, however the two drunks asked for an ass whipping too. Once involved a fight between one deputy and two bad guys in the middle of a large crowd like that is a deadly force level situation. He was authorized to use incapacitators. He could have hit them on the neck and knocked them out and would be clean all day long. Grabbing the guys throat or jaw was fine in mind. Once it turned into a street fight in the sand all bets were off. Now Bing was not quite the badass he could be. He looked hot, tired and winded. He could have gotten messed up bad. But he took it to them and as I said, he could have clocked drunk #2 with an ASP across the bogged at that point and would have been clean. Maybe you should know the levels of force and levels of resistance before you start talking shit again. This was no helpless man in a wheelchair in jail :P

Bingham put himself in a very bad situation by not waiting for help which common sense and policy dictate given the size of the crowd and the two drunken combatants. And he is a Sgt to boot. That's one violation.

The drunks were at the active resistance level but clearly it was not a deadly force situation which would have justified him using deadly force (choke holds and strikes to the head and neck regions). That's another violation.

Bingham failed to use his Taser and OC to stop the fight, choosing to go "hands on". Policy dictates the use of alternative non-deadly means first. If these prove ineffective then he had the discretion to go "hands on" using non-deadly force techniques or back out and wait for help. That's another violation.

There are at least 3 violations, and at least one of them is a Level 5, which is the excessive use of force. Yet Gualtieri covered-up for Bingham because he is in the elitist club. If some deputy at the jail was to do the exact same thing and break up a fight using choke holds he would get a Level 5 for excessive force and might even get fired and charged with battery. There is a double standard, Gualtieri has his favorites and that's what kills morale and a sense that the playing field is level for all employees.

Waiting for help? From who?? You pu$$ies CNY help your fat assets to a buffet or you 95lb little girls like ML who are afraid to even draw a gun...you people are pathetic all you do is wait and wait for more and more backup.....someone has to eventually grab somebody or punch or shoot, most of us laugh when backup arrives. Bing did what you all should be capable of doing, subduing 2 white trash skinny ass drunks
