Sweetwater PD in Miami-Dade county is made up mostly of reserve officers that work for free and only make money on their off duty details.

LCSO is one of the biggest departments in the state (one statistic said 6th) but we are the 3rd lowest paid. We are 30 short on patrol, idk how many in corrections (nor do I care cause a chimp could do that job) and all we get for the majority of new hires is young "kids" with zero street smarts who wanna post on Facebook about every call they go to while working.

Ah a chimp could do our job it's not that hard. Just pull over everybody and arrest for no dl and you make the masters happy...

Driving without a license is a crime...and I'd venture to say that most people with no DL / suspended DL are not responsible enough to keep up on their insurance, and are likely driving around without insurance. Do you understand the risks to law-abiding honest people who might get hit by an uninsured motorist? It could be absolutely devastating to their life and financial position. Yes those law-abiding people carry uninsured motorist coverage, but its likely not enough coverage, especially when medical bills start adding up.

The point is, its a crime.

At least we can legally arrest someone. Come transfer to patrol only to fail and go back to corrections since that's the current habit

Well wait to a major incident happens and the response time is a joke and the one deputy shows ups to mass critical incident that requires 5 deputies in a minute.

Those fat dorks on the Cops episode that were shown at the opening helping a patrol deputy with a combative subject looked like tweedo D and tweedo dumb. Serious backwoods good ole' boys.

I've seen the Sheriff on several calls and traffic stops.

^^^^^^ This guy is afraid to square off with criminals who might resist and he stacks hard working people with 4 and 5 tickets at a time and took the Sergeants Test to get even more away from the scary thugs.
