0827: Promotional test is being scheduled promotions to be in the summer...maybe

0845: We're thinking of promoting again

0850: No we're not thinking of it anymore

0855: We're going to make some ridiculous transfers to see how detectives can be acting sergeants over detectives in a job they've never done

0856: We're also transferring seasons sergeants in special assignments to temporarily supervise patrol because it's not fair to put acting sergeants in a position they may have to make a supervisory decision

0857: I'm going on vacation for two weeks

Two weeks later: We're still goin to make those ridiculous transfers next week and make promotions by the end of the month, but not fill all the openings because we want to keep using acting supervisors to see if they can do a good job in assignments they've never served before they take the new test to see if they can pass it and are qualified to serve as an acting supervisor who is eligible for promotion
