    Do you think Miami Gardens PD can staff Sun Life Stadium for football games?

    Are you crazy???? Reevaluate the question you just asked.The amount of officers it takes for the County to adequately cover the stadium is the total number-plus more-of the entire MGPD. I highly doubt that their department will ever provide sole coverage of that venue since officers will want to actually enjoy their days, work overtime to cover staffing shortages in the city, and deal with their own current manpower issues(from what I have heard from officers there). A department of a little over 200 officers cannot provide the coverage that our department of 2,500 officers can. It's all simple math and logic.

    Just like MDPD who cannot full file all the positions needed and out source. MGPD can do the same. It will be no problem filling in from other agencies. The homestead speedway does it and Homestead PD as small as they are, can get the job done.
