Perhaps the low pay results in a low quality of living causing bitterness. I'd say that your confusing sadness, disappointment and frustration with bitterness. I agree that most people complaining should probably find employment elsewhere, mainly for the benefits to overall mental and physical well being. But, also because nothing gets the money flowing better than a mass exodus of qualified employees followed by an inability to find people willing and qualified to do the job.
