Cameras have been offered on the Taser for several years and way before the current kneejerk reactions. My response was asking where does it say our lights will be replaced by cameras? It doesn't. That was pulled out of your azz...like putting two and two together and getting ten. Staff math I guess.

right out the azz.
you're clearly a rookie with less than 1-2 years on because you have no idea what the hell is going on around you or in your own department.

I'm guessing your 3 years makes you an expert?
Read it clearly.... "if he could mount them on the gun...."
Here's some reality genius: He can't replace our lights with cameras because a compatible option doesn't exist yet.
So your previous interpretation of taking away our lights and replacing them with cameras is a bunch of BS.

Chief's staph is creating a diversion on LeoAff
Post 11 - "how many are excited about cameras replacing flashlights on guns?!?"
This is a totally valid independent question based on media hoopla about pistol cams as far back as 2007. The poster did not reference the SaintPetersblog article. The poster is absolutely correct to insinuate it would do away with the current flashlight mount, to be replaced by a camera+light combo that needs lots of extra real estate on the gunbelt. Groan, take a look at this older police-tested model http://www.recordonline.com/article/...NEWS/711260323

Wrong on all 3 counts. See above paragraph, and look at this police light+laser+camera combo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqZG4G5NcO
Holloway is using the body cam hoopla-poopla to obscure the real issue: "Council member Karl Nurse expressed concerns about the numbers of officers on the street staying stagnant." The chief's shifty manipulation is incredible, given that council increased the dept's budget to put more officers on the street.

ROFLMAO!!!!
Your more of an idiot then I even thought.
1st) Do you even remotely think they'd try to incorporate that light/gun combo you linked to. Hell son it would cost more to design a holster to carry it and you know how tight the city is with money.
2nd) The link to your video proof or whatever it was linked to doesn't even exist.
I'll agree that at some time in the future we may get a light/camera combo but it won't be in the near future.
Here's another point that your shallow brain hasn't considered. It would be far better to have a gun mounted light that records only when you point your gun at someone then a full time body camera that captures every word spoken. The vast majority of officers, I'm sure yourself included, would never have to worry about a gun mounted like because it would require actually drawing your gun to activate it. Then again your probably occupying a desk at the station and wouldn't be affected by a body camera either.
Take your vast 3 years of experience and go back to your keyboard rookie.

Chief Holloway missed another golden opportunity to use Chief Vincent's recent behavior as an example of what not to do. That'd give him all the publicity he wants.

Joe Friday just the facts Mamm
Why are you so angry? Do you need a hug? You have no idea who I am and I'm not bashing or complaining. In fact it's been quite the opposite you've shown some serious hatred. I'm giving my opinion. Isn't that what this is for? Don't be sad just because I don't agree with your twisted rhetoric.
