It's not even predicting...that's a guess. They sound like they really know their stuff, so it's more like forecasting.

No promotions today. Heard that they might be eliminating some gold badge positions because this big promotion was going to hurt uniform patrol and cause an officer safety issue. God knows we are all working short staffed. We don't need more Chiefs when barely have any Indians.

Screw the pba. The dept. needs to eliminate a lot of supervisor positions. Why have a supervisor for only 2 or 3 officers? Or a supervisor that doesn't supervise anyone???We need to restructure big time.

Ok, lets all hit the reset button, promotions hit a snag, due to the Montgomery suddenly retiring, remember you cant fill positions until they actually fall off the books. the current thinking is a big list all the big moves at once and not piecemeal.

forget hiring we cant hire fast enough consider this, this promotion list whatever freaking Friday it comes out will have more names on it then one whole academy class that just graduated. Think about that for a min. One entire academy class only replacing gold badges, so the silver ones are not are replaced by the other one or are they? short end of that its a ponzi scheme and should be illegal, we will never catch up.

And PS at least two laterals we haired are currently relieved facing termination so.....

PS I agree we need to restructure but intelligently and not just moved Narcotics into ECB and call it something new

NO!
u miss the point its the opposite, not hating on Narcotics, pointing out the Department's last two restructurings all were based on dismantling or reorganizing Narcotics, now were merging them with ECB and calling in Organized Crime, a throw back to the 80/90s before that was morphed into Criminal Intelligence, which was later dissolved and the remaining parts re named Homeland.

So the point was not against Narcotics but lets really redo the Department not just rename or dissolved one unit and call it a day.
