"I'm honored to have been selected as a semifinalist among such a distinguished group of law-enforcement professionals," Bevan said. "I'm convinced I not only possess the leadership skills and experience required for the chief position, I also bring a lifetime commitment to the region, which will serve to strengthen my connections with the Bradenton community."

See thread Kurt Wheeler Brown, re Telisha's criminal background, for insight as to what Bevan may bring to the Bradenton community.

Now comes the backgrounding process. A cursory Web check shows Bevan strives to make herself stand out.

    Don't ask here

Original poster: Don't ask here. All the cops have vacated this sight. She was going to be our next chief. She was by far was the union and the departments pick. Nothing against our current chief, he's been good, but she should have been our chief. We will lose a good cop and a good chief when she's gone. Call the union or anybody else connected to the pd if you need actual information. Please don't ask here.

Nothing would have changed if she was the chief except all the a$$ kissing union hacks would have been guaranteed promotions and transfers.

BINGO. Neither one of them is fit to lead IMO because they carry too much political baggage. Everyone got trapped in the crossfire between the 2 AssChiefs who lobbied hard in 2013/2014 to be the next St. Pete police chief. Luke Williams' supporters wanted a black chief. Melanie Bevan's supporters wanted an LGBTQ chief. It'll be a huge improvement when both AssChiefs are gone because they're still throwing rocks at each other. They do it on the downlow, jockeying for power via promos, under-the-radar transfers, ridiculous policies, absurd training programs, etc.

Mel's operatives are still crying in their beer on this board AND on the Bradenton PD board.

As long as they take ass chief Prev with them. It will be total destruction to allow that idiot anywhere near a chief position

2)In fact, she may jump at the chance to be Brooksville PD chief when Chief Turner vacates.

I'm just curious as to why this poster thinks "all the cops have vacated this sight" (should read "site")? This particular string was started just 3 days ago and already has 452 views.
