The new Chief will only be safe until January 2017, because a new Mayor can pick a Chief that shares his/her same philosophy. It will be interesting to see if someone is willing to roll the dice for a one year stay?

You are on drugs if you think the the fired DC's wife will beat the Mayor as she is saying all over town. Then we can have him back as the Director of Public Safety. Besides if that did happen the City would have a contract for the new Chief.

Warren's wife for mayor? ha ha ha ha Mrs. Thing is worth maybe 10 votes in Bradenton if you go by the 59 supporters she scrounged up on Change.org for hubby, 49 of whom live outside Bradenton.

More strangeness out of St Pete PD's training division.

"The department asked all of its employees to take the test to identify those who are really good at recognizing faces...according to a release from the police department."

IT'S NOT WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE. St Pete PD employees were not asked, they received a direct order from the chief to participate in this psychology research scheme. Many hidden agendas in the fine print. Ethical breech - the goofwad psych researchers from Dartmouth College (N.H) and Harvard (Mass.) failed to obtain INFORMED CONSENT from the police guinea pigs. Occupational hazard - the results of the test will impact officer assignments, promotions and hiring. Considering that data is easy to manipulate, would you trust the researchers? Beware the creeping crud from across the bridge.

1)Bevan isn't likely to share your low opinion of Brooksville/Hernando County; according to property records she finds it to be a very desirable place. https://www.myfloridacounty.com/ori/index.do

2)In fact, she may jump at the chance to be Brooksville PD chief when Chief Turner vacates.

3)Every Top 9 candidate including Bevan stands to be a double-dipper.

4)Bradenton isn't picking a chief based on social media campaigns; they'd be wise to omit her from the Final 3 list if they want to avoid an influx of disruptive community organizers from crime ridden St. Pete who want to put their stamp on Bradenton.
Bevan Sux! Why is Poston allowing Raz any input in the process?

The Raz has no input and wants no input. I have heard him say that to all who ask him what is the status.

I heard from City Hall the Mayor is making all the decisions.

Raz hasn't made a decision on his own for 15 years just a empty suit!

I'd say just the opposite. If you don't like the guy fine but he's not afraid to make decisions at all.
