I have to say one thing, these two guys turned this place upside down in just 1-2 years. They wrecked so many lives that deserved to be wrecked. First, Pete Geary, who for 15 years had his way while using the PBA for his Benifit,gone out of the PBA, defeated by RD. Then, 2008,made Lahiff, Poole and Armondo Enrique look like fools during the contract negotiations. During this time both Bailen and diperna began to expose Brickman, Hanrahan and Morano for who they were, and how they neglected the BSO members. The PBA turned their back on both of them as Lamberti used the state attorney's office, DEA , Holly Green, megan Brooks, Mary Guess and Graig Gorden, led by Dave Benjamin and Jeff Poole and tried to put both of these men in prison.

Today, Al Lamberti is gone(disgracefully) Dave Benjamin, Jeff Poole in Federal Prison(john n Russ's federal assistance) Lahiff, Enrique and the rest of that crew completely irrelevant. And, now the PBA is about to be gone for good. All because of JB and RD.

Where are they now. Russ Diperna Executive Officer to the Sheriff and complete opposite of Dave Benjamin.
John Bailen, retired with two pensions and a PBA nemisses.

Unfortunately some of these guys are still shot callers in their districts.
Lashit is a blow hard driving around north lauderdale in his Unmarked vehicle that every dirtbag knows it's him.
Doritto is running around oakland park in whatever kind of uniform he wants. Doing whatever he wants.
Bukaka continues to meddle in calls and cases that don't concern him and tries to intimidate deputies.
I could go on and on.......

This isn't fair we had everything we walked around like Gods we had the Sheriff in our pocket, we had IA, SID we owned it all. We could abuse and target anyone we wanted. Then these 2 big mouthed New Yawkers came here and ruined everything its not fair BSO is ours to do as we please! Now IUPA is going to take our money away??? This is Bullsh!t that is our time/money, the Deputies of BSO are sheep and should serve us!!! Our Sheriff is unemployed and can't sleep at night, our Executive Officer is in prison, our PBA board member is in prison soon to be joined by a couple more. Life is not fair!

Just want to bring up a little bit of the past, some of you may remember if you were there. May, 2006, PBA meeting, over 100 people in attendence. Bailen and diperna tore into the PBA and the board of directors. What was so funny to me, were the people standing around these two and how they walked away from them, as to say, "hey, we're not with them". That was the day that many of us, including me, opened our eyes to the PBA and how self serving they were. Unfortunately it took almost 10 years for everyone to open their eyes. Amazing how these two guys not only servived Brickman, Hanrahan and Morano's attempt to get rid of them, but how they will ultimately be responsible for defeating a politically influential organization like the Broward County PBA.
