City worker entered the evidence locker early October to removed items, Rodríguez said.

City worker had entered the evidence locker in early October and removed items. Catalino Rodríguez said.

SWEETWATER, Fla., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Federal authorities have discovered thousands of dollars missing from a Florida police department's evidence lockup, the troubled city's new mayor said.

Sweetwater Mayor Jose M. Diaz said Tuesday the FBI alerted him to the missing funds. Diaz said he's not aware if federal agents have made any arrests relating to the stolen cash, The Miami Herald reported.

Former Mayor Manny Marono was arrested along with two lobbyists this month on federal corruption charges.

Several members of the city's police force have been fired, resigned or suspended for various corruption-related reasons, including an ongoing investigation into an alleged scheme in which officers funneled towing business to a local company Marono owned in exchange for kickbacks.

Catalino Rodriguez, the officer who was in charge of the evidence locker until he resigned the force after being named a city commissioner, denied taking the cash but said two unidentified officers and another city worker had entered the evidence locker in early October and removed items.

Rodriguez said at the time he thought the employees were acting on orders from Marono.

"There were drugs, money, weapons in there," Rodríguez said. "If thousands of dollars are missing, maybe they should investigate why evidence was removed from the room that day."

"Chief" PUMPKIN HEAD, ARE YOU PLANNING TO ARREST YOURSELF?

    Or You mean:
    MANNY MAROÑO
    ( x 2nd. time)
    ORLANDO LOPEZ.
    ROBERTO FULGUEIRAS
    ROBERTO OCHOA
    CATALINO RODRIGUEZ
    MARIO MIRANDA
    RENY GARCIA
    OCTAVIO OLIU ( x 2nd. time)
    WILLY GARCIA ( x 2nd. time)
    RICHARD PICHARDO

Catalino denied taking the cash but said two unidentified officers and another city worker had entered the evidence locker in early October and removed items.
Rodriguez said at the time he thought the employees were acting on orders from Maroño.

Internal Affairs at Miami PD was used by Plácido Diaz to develop private files on political opponents.

    FROM AL CRESPO REPORT.
Word has it that Placido Diaz, the middle-aged, former cop who left the Miami police department under a cloud, is now being processed to return to the department, supposedly so that he can become a new Sgt-At-Arms, assigned to Commissioner Willie Gort. An alternative theroy is that Diaz, who plotted and schemed - and was the one who gave me the original INTERNAL AFFAIRS file on Mayor Al Alvarez that was missing critical pages - wants to become the head of INTERNAL AFFAIRS UNIT so that he can turn the Police Department back to the days when INTERNAL AFFAIRS was used to develop private files on political opponents.

Diaz got a taste for this kind of activity working as the Legislative Assistant to Commissioner Willie Gort since 2010, and was one of the principals behind the scenes in the campaigns to oust both City Manager Tony Crapp Jr. and Police Chief Miguel Exposito.

NEVER FORGET!! THE NAMES OF THIS GROUP OF TRAITORS.

1- the commission does have the power to over turn , and make the mayor do as the charter and code say.

With Mr. RALPH VENTURA, it is clear he has been on Mayor Lopez's side for a long time. so with his verse of the city charters and codes, he made an attempt to steer the commission in the wrong direction.

As directed in the last 6/15/15 meeting, the commission has the votes to "oust" the mayor from office, through the legal terms or through the recall process! either way Mayor Lopez only has one vote on the commission!!!!!! The commission doesn't need Insolina's vote to get their 5 to 7 split to sue the mayor and throw him out of office.

Mr. Mayor should know that either way he will be facing a recall come May of 16. this will happen and his willingness to violate city charter/code numerous times while on the news and in the mayors chair.
The mayor's don't care attitude toward the commission will be his down-fall. he should at least try to fake it a little.

2- lets go back when Lopez stated on the news that former mayor Diaz didn't care about the law. Lopez is now breaking the city law, now who's the one that doesn't care? Apparently, its only one side depending what side you are on.

Lopez should have rolled with it and let this first year by, instead he is trying to tip-over a 3000 lb bull. its not going to happen!
    recap;
    - he rumored to fire old command staff, but side he wasn't going to do any firing!

    - SECOND day in office, He gave SOMEONE unknown power to make a list of officers to be TERMINATED,

    - NO BODY KNOWS WHO MADE THE LIST

    - NO BODY KNOWS WHO GAVE THE ORDER TO FIRE

    - NO BODY KNOWS WHY CONVICT RICHARD PICHARDO WAS PRESENT.

THE ILEGAL TRANSITION BOARD MEMBERS ARE:

1-Acting Sgt ROBERTO OCHOA (THE SNAKE) was and always will be the snake Lopez used to fire officers.

2-CATALINO RODRIGUEZ ( EL BOLITERO DE ARROYO APOLO ) was present when some officers were fired.

3-ISOLINA MAROÑO ( LA BOLETERA) was present when some officers were fired .

4-SERGIO CABRE ( EL LOCO ) was present when some officers were fired.

5-LARRY PEREZ ( THE WANNABE ) was present when some officers were fired.

6-RICHARD PICHARDO ( THE CONVICT) was present when some officers were fired.

7-CARLOS M. SORDO was present when some officers were fired.

8-MARIO MIRANDA (THE FLY) was present when some officers were fired.

9-PLACIDO DIAZ ( THE PUMPKIN HEAD ) was present when some officers were fired.

10-ORLANDO LOPEZ ( EL CAPO ) was present. when some officers were fired.

**3- why was CONVICT Richard Pichardo given access to police personnel files, while not being a city employee (civilian or sworn)?

**4- why was CONVICT RICHARD Pichardo kicked out of the station after HIPPA violation of officers files (almost 3 weeks later)?

**5- why have only some officers been reinstated after commission vote "all are to return"?

**6- why was there bias against certain officers to be fired and remain fired?

**7-if Lopez is "OUSTED", Diaz takes office again! Diaz and the entire commission now knows the real personaliy of ROBERTO OCHOA ( THE SNAKE) and the role played by him this whole time

Orlando, Isolina & Ralph Ventura, You guys are not fooling anyone.
You guys are not fooling anyone
It is without a doubt that we all know that fired city attorney now Orlando suckass Ralph Ventura is behind a lot of the missing money. We will see what happens now that Peter is cooperating too. Robert Muriedas was always suspicious of Peter, but Peter isn't that stupiid. He knows what to say, when to say it, and when not to speak. The bureau pegged him right. But they also pegged Ralph Ventura and Manny right as well. Don't think for one minute Ralphie boy that your visits to Alabama have been unnoticed. It is ironic and utterly crazy to bring the media in and boast about ethical change when the first unethical conduct that is being promoted here is supporting the actions of the former convicted mayor. That is why "Gotti" is calling the shots from Alabama.

A real good check of financial records will reveal the hidden CDs of cash that were pocketed by the city attorney, Manny and Robert. Orlando dipped in too.

The street soldiers for the Southland crew were: Reny, Willie, Oliu, Miranda, Pichardo, Fuggy, Saavedra and Ochoa knew how to "count". The real count vs. the Manny-Fuggy count. By the way, the FBI is still looking for the Ranger that was bought with the tow money Ochoa. Where did you hide it??

(RICO) Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
(RICO) Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, commonly referred to as the RICO Act or simply RICO, is a United States federal law that provides for extended criminal penalties and a civil cause of action for acts performed as part of an ongoing criminal organization.

Racketeering is when organized groups run illegal businesses, known as “rackets,” or when an organized crime ring uses legitimate organizations to embezzle funds. Such activities can have devastating consequences for both public and private institutions.

Consequently, the federal government and numerous state governments have created systems of laws designed to prosecute these criminals.

    Typical Rackets and Their Consequences

    Using RICO to Prosecute Racketeers

Before Congress enacted laws that specifically combat organized crime, prosecutors found it very difficult to end these rackets. Prosecutors could often convict the lower ranked members of the organizations, because they were the ones who actually performed the illegal activities. However, the masterminds behind the organized crime rings were often much harder to prosecute because they couldn’t be directly connected to any of the crimes.

In 1978, Congress enacted the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, providing prosecutors with the tool they needed to fight organized crime. Many states have enacted similar laws. In order to convict someone under RICO or a state equivalent, it’s no longer necessary to prove the suspect personally committed an illegal activity. Instead, prosecutors must prove:
The defendant owns and/or manages an organization

You are losing the battle Mr. Lopez, little by little the truth will go out.
You are losing the battle Mr. Lopez, little by little the truth will go out to the light and you will stay and remembered as a liar and a manipulator politician.

The advices of your chief of staff Ralph Ventura and of your political extratega Shasha Tirador will make you do the biggest ridiculous of your entire life and it will be a shameful end for your political career.

Mr. López, you was elected by the residents of the City of Sweetwater as " STRONG MAYOR " or adminitrador, but always continuing fulfilling with the Bylaws of the city or the "CITY CHAPTER". STRONG MAYOR position does not give you any dictatorial power.

You are receiving "legal advices" how to ignore the CITY CHAPTER & THE DECISION OF THE CITY COMMISSIONERS from your chief of staff "Attorney" Ralph Ventura, with the objective to put you in total control of the goverment.
Mr. Ventura has very little experience in a private sector, since it he came to this state he, worked for his friend and bos ex City Mayor & SOUTHLAND the Towing company's owner convict Manuel "Manny" Maroño.

Maroño created one of the biggest corruption network in the political and private sector ( City of Sweetwater & his towing Company) in the Miami Dade Count, and this gentleman was employed by Maroño as a City Attorney and in his Towing business ( SOUTHLAND THE TOWING Co.).

Mayor López your days as a STRONG MAYOR and very possible as a free man are comming to and end
