If VPD had been wearing copcams when they arrested Tom Knight for disorderly conduct, then we would have a permanent record of Knight’s angry and drunken behavior, which would permanently and forevermore damage his reputation. Honestly, do you really want to wear copcams when the image can’t be erased???

Knight is right on this one!
1. Make it illegal to record us
2. Make it illegal to make us wear copcams
3. Make it illegal to make a public records request for prerecorded copcams
4. If you don't like my words or actions at the scene, that's F****** tough. It's my word against yours and you can't prove otherwise. If you don't like it, then take it to court A****** (that will ensure that I get OT or washout time).

He is so full of s***! Law enforcement contact is not a private matter. He is using that as cover because he doesn't want cop cams because he hires people like Lt. DT and Dep. AS.
What is Knight trying to hide??

He makes it look like all of us are trying to hide something when, in fact, many of us would be delighted to wear bodycams. We disagree with Knight, but there is nothing we can do about it (at the moment).
