The new chief will have a law degree. We will embrace the new chief as a savior. Many in TCO will be doubters but they will see the way. They will soon follow the light and the rest will be history. It won't be that crazy revisionist history either. It will be good for all.

I'm torn. insider Vs. outsider. I do know we need someone with some "real" leo experience. we do have some internal talent but they have friends and promises owed. on the other side of that coin you bring in a fresh outsider who doesn't understand the dynamics of the agency. thus I am torn.

If you look at the alpha list you will see you have to go down to the teens to find a qualified chief in-house. LT to Chief will never happen. Too many single digit alpha would cry their eyes out.
