CB and BD good people or not, were both promoted due to their relationship with the last Chief. Why have a sgt test? Just let the Chief pick who he wants, or change that clause in the next contract (Top five). Go right down the list or get rid of the list! If you want to be a sgt, study your ass off and score high on the list. That is the fare way, not the last two sgt lists. Both of the people we are talking about would not have made it the fare way! JY, your statement is laughable. Per a personnel order, you were terminated from our department on 11/6/14. You only received a settlement due to negotiations with the city in order to forgo arbitration. That's the difference. Go and enjoy your new job and quit posting on this site pretending to be a current employee.

Sorry to foil your personal gripe with that sgt. (You outed yourself as youre clearly threatened by him and he had to write you up), but you're a moron. Looking for a demotion is looking for another sgt. position to open. That would be someone from the list......or someone that after the certification debacle is looking to make him the sole scapegoat.........hmmmmmm you should apply for the next DB opening.

the city is on the hunt for a new Chief, I am sure the brown nosers are getting ready to jump in line to do the ass kissing. It does not matter that BD and others kissed ass enough to get stripes. They are looking for Lt and some Lt may be looking for Capt. It didn't happen with Mann, but wouldn't it be nice to see people promoted based on job knowledge not dog walking or photography.
