That's what happens when you have a lot of new people trying to play investigator with supervisors who also have little or no experience investigating so how can they get anything done when they don't know how to do it? There something g to be said for experience but at this agency they think it's all about a specific college degree instead. Smh

Really? First of all, we have "investigators" not "detectives." Second, we don't have a "bureau" we have a "criminal investigations division." Quit watching so much tv.

If the best you can do is to criticize the terminology go back to sleep. The post is correct, the leadership at this place is just plain pathetic. Promoting straight down the list has produced some inexperienced and incompetent supervisors. The only ones that like it are the slugs who would not have been promoted otherwise.

Obviously, you are not on that list. Maybe you are already a supervisor. Maybe you did not participate in the promotion process. Maybe you participated in the promotion process but just flat suck. Did you vote for the current promotion process?

Regardless of the terminology this poster is right on target. That place is a mess and they still talk about how it was a pagan ritual when it wasn't and that makes the department and that division look like a joke. They are a joke.
