Keep at it and don't give up! Impressive resume/background! A lot of other department's are hiring... if I was certified I would be applying pretty much everywhere since they hiring everywhere! Again good luck! May I ask what college you get certified from? I'm almost done with my bachelor's looking to self-sponsor! You have all my respect!!! Too bad they didn't give you a chance! Their loss!

I apologize I don't understand... they send the email and then they told you to disregard that email for the PHQ? I too waiting for that email... February applicant. Any idea if they are giving up on us? or was it a mistake? Because I'm also in the process waiting for the next step. Maybe they have enough applicants? Jeez! I hope that's not the case!!!

Relaxed and be patient
Ladies and gentlemen,
Relax, this department had over 100 people retiring last month and this month combined (could be more) this department will continue to hire because it needs the people. Right now there are 3 police classes going through the academy. 2 BLE classes and 1 CTA class.
For sure there will be another BLE class this april, and maybe another CTA class.
While you may think that isn't that much, all those classes equal up to almost 100 people altogether.
They also train corrections there and that's more classrooms taken, and they have to keep rooms open for other departments (police, military,FBI and more)
They are probably waiting for those classes to graduate before putting more in.
Good luck to all and hope to see you around soon .

I think your best bet if possible is to find a department where you can volunteer either as a reserve officer to keep your certification active or just as a regular volunteer helping out and that will give you the opportunity to network and let them see the real you and not just someone off the streets they don't know. The smaller the department the better that's according to a good law enforcement friend of mine who got hired that way and later transfered to a bigger department. Some people get lucky and get hired without the struggle of needing to network... good luck and don't give up!
