Got a call from someone in the chain of command pertaining to a question that higher up had about my current employer. They informed me that everything looks good and that I will be scheduled for psych and medical. They said that it's too close to complete both by December 14th but if I pass those two, I will be in the next academy which is not until April.

Hello, don't worry, just because if there is not an academy until April, doesn't mean you're not eligible to be hired before then...I was hired as a "Gopher" before my BLE class. I was positioned as a Gopher in one of the Division Chief's offices, job duties were answering phones and making paper copies, plus deliveries to other offices in the HQ building...If offered,I suggest you accept it, so it starts your seniority with the Department..Also, be advised, when you come in contact with civilians or officers, acknowledge he/she " hello,sir/ma'am."
