Yes as well as the new policy effective immediately which is you have to be 21 years old and a minimum of an associates degree.

This is a great start to us continuing to legitimize this profession. One of the most significant attacks are that police are undereducated and lack life experiences. Age 21 is not deep in experience but it's a start. Good work mr. mayor.

Should have implemented the bachelor degree as a requirement like Miami Beach PD! That's okay you have to start somewhere... Associate is a good start. Make sure the Associate degree is from an accredited college and not some bs like Keiser University or University of Phoenix... poor students now owe $60,000 on loans and will probably be the first to steal from a drug dealer to pay the loan quicker.
