ooooo....I was at home last night on my night off and saw the news report reference the quadruple-shooting in Opa-Locka. News included all responding agencies: Hialeah, County, and even SCHOOL BOARD; however, Miami Gardens wasn't mentioned. It is true that the agency didn't respond to helping our own neighbors at such a chaotic scene just 1 city over????!!!!!!! Someone, please confirm, or else this will be a true embarassment for oyce agency. Be safe!

You guys in the gardens are a joke and too busy dealing with your own homicides and shootings, which by the way, you can't even get under control. Maybe we at SCHOOL BOARD, as you put it, should start responding and policing both the Gardens and Opa Locka to get things under control since you guys can't seem to respond and help out a neighboring city during a quadruple shooting where there's a good chance the shooter(s) could live or frequent your city.

Before you get your panties in a bunch, I meant no disrespect by highlighting your agency's name. I admire and respect the fact that your officers heard the call and helped out at the scene. I placed emphasis on your agency due to the fact that even a specialized police force-such as MDPSP-went to assist and help, while our department sent no officers. Regardless of what city faces what issues-we are ALL in the same battle facing the same dangers. Your remark about patrolling out cities is absurd. Wow! School Board saying they do as much real police work as us? Investigating thefts of lunch of money from bookbags and handing out teddy bears to school-aged kids is NOT real police work. Please, say no to whatever drugs you're using. How many 3-30s and 3-31s have you handled in the last month? When was the last time you had one officer handle 3000 people in one area alone? Jobs are different but don't be so quick to judge. 200 officers, 410 school sites and jurisdiction you really don't understand. One fight is more physical danger than you usually see in years. Years ago, when you first came on and tried to take over the schools, you couldn't do it. You didn't have the manpower because you needed 10 guys to go to a street fight. Both jobs difficult and different. Working together is important, peace to you and be safe to all.
