As LEO AFFAIRS continues to embrace our GOP controlled State the truth is for many years the Republicans have shown the complete disdain for the WORK of State Employees.

Jeb Bush, Governor 1999-2007, began the downward spiral with the first of State 25% Cuts. Then more and more. What went first was Personnel and Training. Both Probation and Corrections should remember the Training at Institutions that disappeared and Training Staff that was absorbed into the Intuitions to replace lost staff. Then came the joke E-train which forever has lowered the overall Standards of the Department. Jeb Bush wants to be your next President of the United States.

Gov. Rick Scott, Governor followed Bush to the present. "In 1997 the company, Columbia Health, that Rick Scott RAN paid the Federal Government 1.7 BILLION ((BILLION)) DOLLARS in fines. That same year Scott and Columbia Health paid the State of Florida 14 MILLION DOLLARS in fines as a result of the FDLE Investigation. Governor Scott was a major player in the theft of ...dare we say BILLIONS... of Medicare money. Scott left the company with more than 100 million dollars and remember Gov. Scott paid 70? Million of his own money to be elected. Do not forget when you steal money from Health Care you Steal from the lives of Women, Children and the Elderly.

Senator Marco Rubio, "was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000, representing the 111th House district. He was elected Speaker in November 2006." (Played a major roll in depriving State Employees a living wage) and the Elected Senator serving since 2011 in Washington. Perhaps, LEO AFFAIRS has never been to Miami? However, Jeb Bush was great to PO's and CO's. He gave us a pay raise every year, plus a $1200.00 bonus one year with a 4.5% pay raise. In addition, he gave PO's back special risk. As far as cutting state employment, he just got rid of worthless jobs after being folks left them or retired left and streamlined other areas to save money so we could get raises. I for one, love Etrain because I don't have to leave my office and go to some institution and sit there and listen to some imbecile read out of a book. And finally, Rubio is a US Senator now, and does effect DOC one bit, and plus I thought you lefties love illegal aliens and "diversity" so who cares. There is no reason to increase the budget by giving state workers raises when there are plenty of Obama economy unemployed and underemployed willing to do the state jobs for stability, pension and more money than McDonald's and Wal-Mart. If you feel you are underpaid go somewhere else but you are probably not qualified so you are stuck with a state job and pension for which you should be thankful for. McDonald's and Wal-Mart offer 401k plans so the FRS pension is a huge benefit.
