BSO Full Release Position: As you might be aware, Lee Martin is having medical issues and will be retiring in a few months. He will be stepping down as the PBA Secretary and PBA President Jeff Marano has asked for the input of the BSO Board of Directors (that were elected by BSO Deputies) for his replacement. He has asked Meghan Anderson to fill the position until the next election in November.

Rep Voting: The BSO rep voting continues until September 14th. The ballots will be counted on the 15th at the PBA. If you would like to witness the counting of the ballots we welcome you to join us. Ballot boxes have been placed in all the districts. You can drop your ballot in the mail, mail it to the PBA, or drop it off at the PBA. 11 Deputies were nominated and accepted. Please take the time and vote for the deputies that will represent you and your interests.

PERC Vote: The PERC vote (to determine who will be your collective bargaining agent for the future) will take place from September 2nd until the 30th. PBA Senior Vice President (and former BSO deputy) Debbie Reggio will be in Tallahassee for the counting of the ballots.

PBA Collective Bargaining Proposal: We have seen a lot of nonsense from the IUPA office in Sarasota(they don't have a local office) about what the PBA has proposed during negotiations. To view the proposal for yourself, please go to our website at www.bcpba.org Look where the collective bargaining agreements are posted and you will see the proposal for yourself. Shame on the other guys for lying to you about what we asked for.

You have yet to answer WHY Lee was removed from the full release status? Obviously, he didn't just "fall ill and step down" because that would be reason to file worker's comp, not a grievance.

It is amazing that the PBA under new management, Jeff Marano, seems to only get loyal Board Members from the ranks of the sick, injured, fat and senile. Look who he is trying to get to fill Lee's position. Lee gets miraculously sick as Meghan gets miraculously healed.

How many PBA board members favor IUPA? There is no way you can convince me that IUPA has the luck to place 2 mailings in my mailbox on the same exact day the PBA sends me something. There must be insiders favoring IUPA. Marano, what say you ?

Everyone knows the mole is Meghan and Marano is about to appoint her to the full time release position for PBA. Well, everyone knows except Marano. Surprise!!!

Why don't all of you BSO individuals, before voting your card for PBA or IUPA, look up all the problems Hallandale has with the same PBA and same directors that all of you are conversing about. We are all in the same boat however, you have an opportunity to get out now. Vote IUPA.

    Lee formally resign??

    PBA,

Did Lee formally resign?? And if so, is that the reason for Meghan going around bragging about her new appointment to the Board and her full release from BSO??
She can figure out how not to work better than Lee. She gets the award for that one!

The scariest part is that a few weeks ago Lee was a star in the PBA addressing role calls and was negotiating our multi million dollar contract. Now Lee has been kicked to the curb like a piece of trash. Then to make matters worse the PBA put Meghan in Lee's spot without even allowing the members to vote. This is the same Meghan who got one Deputy fired and tried to have numerous more fired for the former Sheriff.

The PBA has completely come undone and needs to go. Lucky for BSO we have a PERC election coming in a couple of weeks. Hopefully the Deputies here don't screw up this opportunity to make a change and finally have a union run by the members.

It seems Lee didn't buy enough Kettle corn or his kid didn't sell enough at the school fund raiser for the PBA so they let him go
