    Schedule

What kind of shifts do you work at HCSO? DuPont, Modified DuPont, 4 on 4 off, 12’s, 10’s, or 8’s. Are you fixed on days or nights, or do you rotate that also? What is the policy for take home cars if you live outside Hillsborough County?

They work what is called the EOWEO-for "every other weekend off." Employees follow a 14-day pattern of 2-days-on, 2-days-off, 3-days-on, 2-days-off, 2-days-on and 3-days-off.

You bid once a year for days or nights. The bid is by your seniority, but your district can also place you on a shift or squad.

You an take your car home if you live in a bordering county. The office calculates your mileage to and from work once you are out of the county and deduct a set rate from your pay.

A 60 hour week followed by a 24 hour week not a bad deal.
