ATTENTION JOHN LONG - Every single spot in CID should be opened and anyone interested should be interviewed (including the current seatwarmers and the pass the work down to patrol sgt) by a committee of ranking Officers from other Departments who have experience in running Investigations and can see right through the useless people and discover other untapped talent out here.

A Department Re-organization is a must ! To many feel secure and untouchable in their positions here.

That is so true. They will blow so much smoke up your butt here to tell you what you need to do or join, or be a part of.. to get promoted, and it's all BS. Neither one of the Captains here have ever did anything extra on the job to get their rank. They have never taught any classes, or did anything extra on what they will tell you that you need to do. And one of them has been an "inside dog" his entire career, and has never done any police work at all, but he likes to come out and play policeman sometimes.....using his rank to bully and show how smart he is, especially if he is in a bad mood that day.
