Interesting collaboration between the mayor's office and the Tampa Bay Times, eh? Perhaps those two should investigate the legitimacy of organizations before any further backslapping. It takes a village (one named SCLCcornholetaterheadKanika) to do slam jobs on good cops like Jane Castor.

This backdoor maneuver was achieved by St. Pete city hall's anointed reporter Kameel Stanley -- intended to shape SPPD policy by making outgoing TPD chief Castor the fall guy for the untouchable Saint Hollway.

The good people of Tampa know we are here for them... It's really unfair to compare St. Pete to us. I mean, the Pinellas SAO had to form a task force to fight crime in the city of St. Pete. Why is that? Because St Pete PD was being run by criminals and a coward former chief named Chuck.

Tampa PD board ^ well, shucks, I hardly know what to say......but by extrapolating today's crime numbers I'd have to say criminals have full control of St. Pete. In New Orleans they give a rats ass but not here.

The real problem will be finding the first and second time offenders. Good concept for a kid caught shoplifting for the first time, but those aren't the problem in the city.

When I think of Hactivism I think about what Anonymous did to Steubenville Ohio PD. They had it coming for covering up a high school football team who gang raped a young girl.

SPPD is not corrupt, not consciously up to no good. By and large SPPD consists of a lot of good men and women who take pride in doing the right thing for the community they protect.

Is there room for improvement? Hell yes, but that is more about practices and policies that could improve perceived accountability and trust and have less of a negative financial impact on folks on the lower socio-economic spectrum of the community.
