Interesting collaboration between the mayor's office and the Tampa Bay Times, eh? Perhaps those two should investigate the legitimacy of organizations before any further backslapping. It takes a village (one named SCLCcornholetaterheadKanika) to do slam jobs on good cops like Jane Castor.

This backdoor maneuver was achieved by St. Pete city hall's anointed reporter Kameel Stanley -- intended to shape SPPD policy by making outgoing TPD chief Castor the fall guy for the untouchable Saint Hollway.

Thanks to Kurt Donley, SCLC board member and criminal justice specialist, for the heads up he posted 4/8/2015, nine days before Kameel did the deed. (Thanks also to SCLC president Toriano Parker who contributed to Lisa Wheeler-Brown's campaign.)

Now, nearly a week later comes the Tampa Bay Slimes, throwing down protective cover for KurtSCLC/Kameel/Kanika by tossing out decoys who came late to the party -->

On Thursday 4/23/2015, a dozen civil rights organizations asked Mayor Bob Buckhorn and Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor to end the department's enforcement of bicycle violations in a letter signed by local chapters of the American Civil Liberties Union, Amnesty International, the NAACP, CAIR Florida, Dream Defenders, LatinoJustice PRLDEF, LULAC of Florida, Mi Familia Vota, Pastors on Patrol, Rainbow-PUSH Florida, St. Paul Lutheran Church Rev. Dr. Russell Myer and Tampa Bay Academy of Hope, Inc.

Tampa PD board ^ well, shucks, I hardly know what to say......but by extrapolating today's crime numbers I'd have to say criminals have full control of St. Pete. In New Orleans they give a rats ass but not here.

http://theweeklychallenger.com/2015-...nction-awards/ Is this a a trend or what. Your SCLC-approved candidate at OurCityMyHome.com also claimed to be a lifelong resident. That's quite a feat, living in St. Pete and getting arrested for theft in Dallas.

Finally: City Wide Climate Survey - http://www.c-psolutions.com/city-of-...rsburg-survey/

Here is your opportunity to clean house.

The last question is open ended.

If you are tired of favoritism, people who moved up to the position of their least competency. Racists, Sexists, Homophobes, people who like to abuse their authority and or otherwise are a public menace...

SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE.

Some of you should be scared, but for the vast majority of you this is an opportunity to rid yourselves of people that cheapen your profession, increase your risk and cause you to be disrespected by the very people you are trying to help.

Good Luck, the whole world is watching, do the right thing.

I don't think so, Kurt. It's more like hACTIVISM (promoting a political agenda.) Check out the "St Pete Survey" link at
    http://www.leoaffairs.com/vb_forums/...ice-Hacktivism

and then google search Lillian and Glynis. One's a journalist by training, works at Poynter where all the Tampa Bay Times staffers get indoctrinated

When I think of Hactivism I think about what Anonymous did to Steubenville Ohio PD. They had it coming for covering up a high school football team who gang raped a young girl.

SPPD is not corrupt, not consciously up to no good. By and large SPPD consists of a lot of good men and women who take pride in doing the right thing for the community they protect.

Is there room for improvement? Hell yes, but that is more about practices and policies that could improve perceived accountability and trust and have less of a negative financial impact on folks on the lower socio-economic spectrum of the community.
