Thank you so very much for taking a look at the upper echelon of The City of Miami Beach. This is nothing new, The high ranking city officials running a muck then pointing the finger at everyone else is common practice. This city has some of the best officers in the country who deal with a constant barrage of special events, long holiday weekends and other city functions that keep us away from our families monthly, but we continue to do a great job. However every time an officer from our agency makes a poor decision he/she is front page news. Not once has the media looked into the underlying factors of the officers actions, They are always bashed in the media. Now we have a Mayor who not once not twice but three times has crossed the line. He has lied, not shown up to give a statement on a situation he created then lied about (Star Island) and now the soda truck incident, Due to his financial status just walks away and thumbs his nose. Our new Chief preaches ethics, honesty and professionalism but yet he serves up our officers to the media before he has the full story. Now we have a full story on the mayor committing a crime and he backs away. Lets go Daniel Oates step up and for once support the working Street Cop the same guy you always preach so passionately about. And to the media, if you put as much effort and investigation in to the upper divisions of the city it would give you a great understanding of why so many of the officers here are struggling. There is no trust no confidence and no ethics in City Hall or the upper Brass of our agency. Poor leaders and poor leadership create a poor working environment thus creating poor decisions being made at every level.

Who in their right mind would come out and expose this? Gloates and the Mayor would banish them forever. Haven't you seen how vindictive these people are? Pixels has to work this from the outside in. Gather the truth and then confront the city with half truths give them some wiggle room to lie and see how bad they botch this up. Believe me, Gloates, the manager and mayor are a bunch of liars.
