People need to wake up and complain. You know darn well that we are not equipped (funding, leadership, etc) to do a good job. Noco's buddy Rep Cocoran who is the appropriations chair has$250k in the budget to do a probation transition study (NOT a feasibity study). If we don't get the funding to stop being a joke, this time next year we will be dismantled. My question is this...Pransky reported there will be a probation rally on Tuesday morning at the Capitol. Where at the Capitol?? Where are we to meet up at?

You are correct in some ways. The feasibility study looks at if Probation and Parole are better suited under the Local Sheriffs. However, the original plan by Sheriff Nocco was written by P&P Officer's and Sheriff's Office personnel. The plan required bringing over most P&P staff. However, you would be required to meet PT standards and required to carry firearms and make arrests, the Department requires none of this. You can You Tube most of this. However, I assure you most of this was written by PO's so it may be a good thing, for those that actually went to an Academy. This is very similar to when the SO's took over child investigations (Dept of Children and Families). Those guys made out pretty well. They all have take home cars and make more money then they did with the state.

I will guarantee you this. If Nocco and his boys take it over, you better put your big boy pants on. If your an offender you better move out of Pasco. It will be no joke.

    Exclamation

    PROBLEM + REACTION= SOLUTION

The reason why DOC will not get any better with this new Secretary. She was hand-picked by Rick Scott to accomplish what he tried to do DIRECTLY and was shot down, that is to: Privatize DOC.

Problem, reaction, solution has bee used by politicians for decades to push agendas through that otherwise would come about by simpler means. The Federal government is a purveyor of this tactic which first involves STAGING AN EVENT or manufacturing a CRISIS of sorts; then waiting for public outcry to mount and us citizens to demand something be done to "save us"; that is when they ride in with the 'solution' and patting themselves on the back for being the saviors!

Usually with a governement false flag it involves a fake terrorist threat and when the people are afraid, they simply give-up more freedoms in exchange for Government provided security or hand-outs, free phones, etc. You will only see more and more Press Clips of how rotten to the core the current DOC is until the only option is to erase-the-slate and try something new!

See if you were real Law Enforcement and have had real important jobs like the Secretary you to would have a $9,730 x 12 = $116,760 Pension a year. Salary $160,000.10 as DC Secretary = $276,760.10 a year.

Do you think she gives "A Rats Ass About You and Your Problems?

You have a friend in: "In Secretary Jones' case, she will begin collecting $9,730 in monthly pension payments in May 2015, on top of the more than $13,000 a month from her state salary, according to state records." This gets you the following well documented statement from her:

Her answer for all the problems at DC: "It's a few disgruntled employees."

No your math is wrong. Problem + Reaction = Officers in the whole state getting screwed. Since you have a issue, you want everyone to have a issue. Our office was just fine until you started whining. Now we a all suffering. Thanks a lot a-hole.
